For me, this year Secret was the best drama that I would watch over and over again in spite of its shortcomings.
A drama that I haven't gotten to is 9x times travel, I really want to see it.
School 2013 is my favorite school drama so far, it's worth watching.
Flower Boy next door was a bit meh, I wouldn't watch it again Park shin Hye's character was very dull and Enrique -as cute as he's- was childish. I still watched it because of him though :p
I'll give Cruel City a try.
I have to say horror is not for me at all, the only horror I watched were the Others and What Lies Beneath. But I'll recommend these to my brother since he's a horror maniac <.<
I have to say it's a bit weird to see some of these drama as romantic comedies. Also For 2013 Just You would definitely win -it had almost zero drama. There is Master's Sun too which for the most part is romantic comedy.
I have to say this difficult, I mean this year I actually had more than one drama that I liked D:
Secret, Master's Sun, I hear your voice, school 2013, suspicious housekeeper, and Good Doctor. It's like crazy number of liked dramas.
Each was unique and good in its own way. the hardest choice for me was between Secret and Master's Sun -they're so different in genre- but in the end I had to vote for secret the drama was just so good. It had all the typical melo- elements that might have been boring but it was really well done.
Anyway, I think Master's sun and I hear Your Voice were the most popular by viewers so I'm expecting one of them to win. I'm glad there are several categories, it'll be interesting to see the results >:D
well this doesn't tell me much. I'll have to wait and see.
It's established that adapting an Asian manga story to an American production will be very hard and people won't be satisfied easily.
But at least I will try to look at it from a neutral stand and then judge.
Like someone mentioned there is a huge cultural difference between Asia and America so how will they deal with that? I feel translating the work immediately to the american screen means it'll only be cheesy and weird.
