no? the first season literally has 9 episodes. the other seasons will also have that few episodes. you do know that nowadays series in general keep having just few episodes (6-10 eps) per season. and i can count many kdramas which has even less episodes than this kdrama believe me lmao there was a time where i was lazy to watch many episodes.

true alice in borderland was out before, but many got into asian dramas for the first time after they watched squid game. i mean tbh when squid game came out, suddenly everyone was overhyping the drama. suddenly everyone who used to say “ew asian dramas are so boring and cringey” are now saying “i love asian dramas” and that’s what bothered me and that was the reason why i didn’t want to watch the drama at first. when the hype got a bit low i started watching it and tbh it’s a real good drama and i can understand why many people got into asian drama cuz of squid game but in my opinion it’s still overhyped but still very deserved to be the most watched netflix show.

to me the characters were fine tho. maybe a bit more like background story of em but since its a reality show idc about that.

i mean maybe this reality show is not really for u. tbh it’s interesting to me to see what they would do for example in the gas station, supermarket, when they got kidnapped etc. like what happens next? who is gonna sacrifice? who’s gonna turn into a zombie? etc etc. like that’s what i mean with the “unscripted” since u also said that some of em are annoying/not funny yeah it’s sometimes boring but mostly it’s fine to me. it should’ve be shorter but they did what they did so. i lowkey get what u mean.
