I’ve watched a lot of Chinese dramas, and most of them tend to be female-lead–driven, with the female lead getting more screen presence. Very few dramas focus mainly on the male lead in terms of screen time and story.
But this drama isn’t just about the female lead—it’s about both leads. If it were only a female-led story, then there wouldn’t be much need for the male lead. The story is clearly told through both of them, not just one side.
I’ve watched quite a few Chinese dramas, including some that focus more on the male lead, but even in those, the female lead usually ends up getting more screen presence. 'Zhu yu' represent both leads fan chang yu 'yu' xie zheng 'zhu' ok.And its not only her story, it is the story of both of them try to understand.

I am nearly in 20th episode but feel like ml get less screen presence and they didn't even show his fight scenes. They focus only fl. Its really dissapointing that he gets only less screen time😑. He get only 1-2min but mostly fl get more screen presence why can't director gave them equal presence. Its so irritating.Feels like thia drama is made for her. After 17th episode ml had only 10sec, 3min presence. Don't watch it anymore. Its really boring, support role get screen time than ml. Based on my experience chinese directors forgot to put ml on screen after 10th episode they could only get if they are with fl🫡. If
they can show fl why can't they show ml.

I’ve watched quite a few Chinese dramas, mostly fantasy and wuxia, and in many of them the female lead tends to get more screen presence. It gets really annoying when the director gives the female lead significantly more focus than ml even though story focus on ml.

Plzz release this. How many more years do we have to wait?

Is this drama focuses only fl more than ml. I saw in a comment that the ml has fewer fight scene even though he is a general.

In season two i hope ji ling and lu wuyi as main leads get more screen time than season one. I hope ji ling restore his power and become dragon deity and not more sacrificial and get a happy ending with no more tears. In this season jilu couple always used to cry, I think this won't happen in season 2.

Hi i am fan of xianxia dramas. Its almost 6 yrs y cant they release it. So many bl drama in china aired now. Atleast they can dlt the romance part or they can reshoot it.

It was a beautiful drama. I liked it very much and also ost give goosebumps in last episode when everyone came to support jL. I want season 2 and also jl power should be restored and want to become a dragon deity.But li jie was alone in the original timeline if he was with jL in another timeline it was even better rather than alone in original timeline.

But he is more popular than her. If fl more popular than ml they gave fl more screen presence but in ml case its opposite. In every chinese drama i feel like they gace fl more screen presence but not ml. I dont know y it is like this. I watched several dramas like focusing on ml story but also they gave fl more presence. Why cant they gave them equal screen presence thats way everyone liked it.

I dropped this drama because of so many characters and ml has less screen presence but fl has more than him. After 9th episode he had only 1-2min or 10 sec like a supporting role. But every episode she had more presence. Its really annoying when director gave more importance to fl not ml. He gets screen presence only when he is with her.
