Had to Drop This One
I had so much hope for SeaKeen and was looking forward to this series. Fresh and fun in Only Boo. Good in MeTuLuv. Totally bombed in Head 2 Head. It wasn't their fault. Unfortunately, they were handed such a lame script and story line in this low-budget, high school production of a series that there was no chance of success. I suppose they did their best but there wasn't much opportunity to present any emotional depth or develop even a quirky interest in their characters given the shallow and repetitive plot. Wait, did I say plot? Was there one? Bad dream. Bad accident. Band-aid on the forehead. Rinse and repeat. And too bad for the new couple, JavaSurf. Good-looking guys, potential for great chemistry but like SeaKeen, they were handed an amateurish and predictable screenplay that precluded any chance to gain some real acting chops. Their side story was boring and standard stock . Maybe GMMTV will give both couples a better project next time.Was this review helpful to you?

What a waste!
First, I'm a big fan of EarthMix. And while Heng was a lame-brained immature, and happless character, I did enjoy seeing Earth in a silly, cute, comedic role. He aced it. It was a nice switch-up for him. Mix, well, not so much. HIs character was a self-pitying , depressive sort of guy. Mix did a pretty good job in portraying Mo, but not a role that fits his persona. He just moped around for the entire series feeling bad about himself and bemoaning the fact that he was gay and convinced that he alone would destroy Heng's life by loving and being with him. Making bad decisions, crying about it, and sticking with them even though it was destryoing his happiness. Come on, buck and be a little assertive, boy.And then there was the story line. What a waste. Insipid, bland, poorly written. Like a bad high school drama production. And the amnesia thing in Ep 11 was a total insult to the viewers. Like the directors had to come up with something "funny" to drag out the series into 12 episodes. Well, it wasn't funny. It was disconnected, irrational, and stupid. Honestly, I couldn't wait for it to end and fast-forwarded through Ep 11-12 to make sure EarthMix ended up together. (Which everyone knew they would). And what was with that last musical/dance number just before they got married??? Just plain bad. Cheesy choreography, bad camera work, silly music. I love Earth but the boy sure does not have any moves. And then jump into a wedding that, I guess, someone had pre-planned?? Even though there was almost no character or plot development that built up to a marriage. Lame.
The cinematography was cheap and not very artistic at all. The supporting cast did as good a job as possible considering the plot and the writing. And Boss was just a pain creep. Guess he didn't know about something called HR in the workplace or sexual harassment. Not dissing the actor, but the character just could not take no for an answer. I found the character sketchy, offensive, and plain unlikeable.
And now we have My Golden Blood airing. I'm hoping that JossGawin don't get pulled won the same unprofessional and unlikeable rabbit hole that EarthMix did.
