I feel like GRxGD is more of a siblingship tbh she's like a little sister.. the flashback in the recent episode…
There isn't really difference between oraeboni and oppa except the formality though.. most sageuk couples speak formally so. I never said I had issue with that.
I feel like GRxGD is more of a siblingship tbh she's like a little sister.. the flashback in the recent episode solidified that for me. I think they're cute together, but I like ships in which two partners are equal. GR follows him everywhere, is impressed by everything he does, "oraeboni" the strawberry scene..I'm not against the ship but I hoped they'd make her more adultlike in behavior.
Maybe it's the asian culture that is different? idk, but I never had this issue with other dramas. I do like some scenes though, and "Seobang".
I guess GR may really become a widow seeking revenge against the king now..just like the description. I just hope she finds out GD is alive before getting into the palace, or else it'd be hard getting out.
But if she acts on her revenge, I hope she's not completely incompetent.
Can someone spoil this for me and tell me if jang nok soo falls in love with the king.
Not sure..I don't think she's playing him completely but she's very good at it so.. anyways last episode hints that GD is still love of life, and that'd make more of a conflict.
I think she's loyal to the king, but not in love with him. I wonder what she'll do when he becomes a tyrant. IRL she was his pimp, in this story she is a bit wicked but not evil at all.
Is the sister now Jung Da Bin or the other girl that wants to get close to Noksoo? I don't get which one it is.. and JDB isn't credited or anything, the sister's actor is unknown both here and asianwiki.
This is much better than the other HGD series imo. I watched the other one and x-ed it out in the first scene…
Is it kind of like Gu Family book? Or Hwarang, scarlet heart(the happy times)?
I tend to not like the overly modern lighthearted sageuks because instead of forgetting they're just putting on costumes and pretending to be in the past, that's all I'm thinking. But I can handle it if it comes of as natural.
I like the drama but I find a bit disturbing that the one playing young Prince Eui-song is same one playing the student who's helping Ji yoon.. I hope they don't get involved or something it'd be so weird

Have any of you seen bridal mask? What is happening to Wook reminds me so much of Shunji, the second male lead. They were both so nice and good and no one would think they'd become dark. And, the first male lead in SH and BM is cruel and the beginning and then they become soft puppies.
I have a hard time believing that Wang So is really Gwangjong. Wook on the other hand though I could totally see…
Gwangjong's personal name was Wang So, not Wook. But, I think they are shying away from history, anything else would be too predictable and unoriginal. Let's cross our fingers!
any reason? To me it's alright, but not breathtaking like usual sageuks. But I've seen shows from this writer before, the story is "OK" until around ep 30-40 then it becomes much more exciting.
Right now FIP isn't horrible, but I wouldn't recommend it to the busiest man on earth..just a nice popcorn show in the weekend.
goodhearted royals there

All in all the best sageuk writer is Kim Young-Hyun. She wrote Jewel in the palace, tree with deep roots, Seondeok, SFD..all great dramas.
