No idea. Some believes rumors and act like it was fact, while some maybe delulu fans who think that rumor cast is their "perfect kind of pair" for them so they just believe it even if it hasn't yet confirmed, or they just want their fav actor/actress play the role.
It was always like that. For example, if you go to weibo and see some melon/rumor, you will find Tan Jian Ci's name in almost every upcoming drama rumored cast. If that is true, poor boy taking so much roles... When will he rest... 😅
Either way, the cast in MDL will change when they confirm it later.

The final scene I suppose was a lookalike. Shi Qi said something like "maybe there's someone that look like us after all"(?). I've read somewhere that every person has roughly 6 doppelgangers out there in the world, maybe Shi Qi referred to that.
Also based on Prince Ning's attitude, he would choose die rather than admitting (the jade one). He didn't even believe Shen Qin and Shi Qi swapping face. So, for him to become lovey-dovey type in the end seems unreasonable. I don't mean he can't, but in such little of time (Yunbao haven't grown much) I don't think he is capable.
But the first few episodes' sub is not that good since I was just started doing subtitle at that time and some choice of words are not that accurate since English and Chinese is not my native language. 😅 I'm planning to fix it, just not sure when...
Edit: It turns out I can't fix it. My laptop was broken so they had to delete all my data. If I want to fix it, I need to restart from the start--I hate segmenting 😭...
