It's not only because of the pandemic. In an episode, YJS said that they tried to do the old episodes format like running and hiding, but the rating on that episode is falling down (unlike the room games) indicating the watchers didn't like it anymore. So, it's not only the production's fault but also the watchers' taste that changes over time. Some people like you and me might prefer the 'active' game, but who knows, maybe we are the minority whose taste remains unchanged. But for me, some room games episodes are quite fun too--except that there's no LKS on it... :(

How could this got such rating when the ending cut abruptly like that?! The leads' acting are just so-so, and the support roles' acting are just so bad. There's some mid average mini dramas which are better than this yet got rating below this.

The real length is 3-5 min, the one with 3 Full episodes are just the combination so it's not bothering people to watch such little time each episode.

What's wrong with the synopsis? I've completed it but the story between Jing Jing and General Ye is not the center of the drama. It is focused on Ruo Ruo and Li Ke...

Got me hooked at start but end up bored halfway. I watch it with 2x faster pace near the end. But, pretty enjoyable. As for the plot and some lines, it feels like it was written by a teenager...

Again the ending... The thing for mini series in c-drama land is they are more likely to have an open ending rather than a season 2... 🙂

I don't think we will get S2, since in Weibo some say that this was open ending... 🗿

Indeed, I was searching drama with plot someone from the past time travelled to the future. However it is so rare. I'm happy I've stumbled on this drama.
