All character assassination aside. I love all the characters, they make the drama what it is. We have to have flawed characters. That said, the actors and actress are doing a great job because we are getting so emotional over each and everyone of them, we love them, we hate them, we can't stand them, and etc... LOL :-) The drama would be incomplete without their good acting.

I have a tendency to believe they are acting like family. When did family not squabble over the most stupidest thing. Think about it. lol.
On another note, I think the expectation should be equal; one needs to act as an elder, and a leader needs to be a leader. If a leader is immature or inexperience, they need to be let go, much like at work - we do not respect our bosses unless they have earned the respected. We put up with them because we do not want to be fired. This seems to be the case with GSJ and GZY. If a leader is weak such is the case with GZY, then it is no wonder the Wufeng is not afraid of the Gong family.
My opinion is that GZY brother and father was killed because the Wufeng wanted a weak leader in place to run the Gong family. They knew the short comings of GZY.

So my question would be.. what is GZY's role then, to not lead, criticize, gallivant around town entertaining his own bride, being suspicious of the only person in the gong family who is adept at investigating, relying on help to pass examinations, and etc. Also, it is okay for GZY to protect his bride but not for GSJ to want to protect his bride - what hypocrisy. I am getting tired of GZY. We need a LEADER that is wise, intelligent, can be rational. Ugh, this is so infuriating.
Love the FL, she has such a wholesome personality. She may not be the most gorgeous actress and that can be one of the reason viewers are unhappy. However, there is more to life than a pretty face. Her portrayal of a 15 year is pretty spot on. I have a 15 year old to compare to. LOL. The FL is inquisitive, curious, willing to learn, make mistakes, confident, willing to speak her mind, and objective. These days wholesome personalities are hard to find.
The ML is Xiao Zhan. He is Xiao Zhan. I think that speaks for itself. LOL.
