there isn't a confirmed official post about the cast yet, but people who have already went to the live first round performances and people who have been seen walking out/in the new cmbf building, and stuffs like that so there are many lists that are probably the lineup - i dont have a link but i do have a photo but im not sure how to send that 😔love wang zhengliang's songs too hehe
is it just me who's a bit disappointed with the line up said for s5... like ik i say this now and watch me like fawn over them later (just watch fr) but like the number of really young participants this year just kinds of throws me off...
the original concept of cmbf from the start was to collect a bunch of experienced iconic chinese idols and create crossovers with the most coolest stages from people who have been experienced for many years and are big icons in the entertainment industry - like 19 year olds or people who have only been debuted or in the industry for just a year completely goes against that concept? i'm not really saying they aren't good or things, but i think a new concept of people who have been experienced for 15 years+ and those with just one year making a stage together could be interesting, but it can also be stressing and harder to connect with.
i mean into1 or chuang 2021 trainees are okay, as they at least have had experience for around 4 years or more at least, but they aren't as iconic or things idk how to say it
stages like guang ming with iconic super boy champion chen chusheng and the singer of 831, the artist of an iconic song of xiang jian ni xiang jian ni xiang jian ni, and those with the creation of the coolest stages with goated well known experienced people was cmbf, but with the newly experienced members (once again, im not saying they aren't good, and i also said watch me later just love them so much but) it just feels really off to me you know?

honestly i was thinking that too like why does the lowest age get lower by every year😭 cmbf is really hard and it needs a lot of experience to be able to do so i think inviting top wasnt a great move
