omg same thoughts about usagi. like i’m so happy she got more focused screentime here but why did they write…
omg thank you for the validation ;-; everything just felt so unnecessary... like, you would've thought that usagi already got over her dad at some point in the previous seasons, but she was being portrayed as being super mentally unstable in this season, I get that they forgot their memories in borderland but still... that "closure" scene with her father was also so boring and cliche like "that's it? you risked your and your husband's lives just for this?". They could've at least thought of a different conflict instead of this, a more convincing reason why both of them would go back to playing the games.
and I agree with Ryuji, he could've been an interesting character, but most of the time, he seemed like a creep who wants to steal somebody else's wife and his "redemption" at the end was so sudden too. They made it seem like his internal conflict was so big, like it was between his research or stealing Usagi away lol and yeah Usagi was so attached to him, she said he saved her life but it was just that one time, in reality, it was her doing all the work.
