The FL also think that he's wrong that's why she doesn't really bother about it. Even if the female lead have 0 sympathy for her brother, she's doing it because her parent sort of manipulate and sweet talking her into it. He's an asshole and really deserve to die, but in the end, to the FL, he's someone who died protecting her that's why she's now being hypocritical and hates MY for it.
