I read this a long time ago so take it as a grain of salt and this is very different from the drama. In the novel I think the fl get cured ofc I’m not sure if it’s before or after tho. And it is the ml doing the chasing because he was an ass in the novel, a player, slept with endless women and utterly HEARTLESS. So he deserves to chase after her even though he found out her ‘big secret’. The ml in the drama is very toned down so I have no idea what they’ll do either. And no he did not poison her, it was someone else but revealing this is too much of a spoiler so I’ll shut up here.

The ml in the drama is definitely starting to care and must I say ‘like’ her a bit even though it’s not yet love. I don’t think they really base this off the novel very much so it’s not really right to compare his feelings for her here and the novel.

I also read the novel and it’s not hard to like the fml lmao, she’s only like that because he was a literally asshole in the novel so he deserves what ever heartbreaks she placed upon him. Thought I would definitely understand it if you sympathise with the ml in the drama cause he’s not even a player here. I think they changed his whole character. Even though he’s still all about revenge but he’s not as heartless or sleep around like the one in the novel.

Actually not really, considering he only appears at the beginning of the novel and ig a bit towards the end so it’s right that he’s in the guest role.

I agreed on the fact that her ‘love’ is soooo out of nowhere. She just put in the work trying to escape from him like 3eps ago now she’s here in love with him. Though I think the girl got a bit of Stockholm’s syndrome cause she was used to being treated badly by him, now that he’s nice she’s in love😭

These type of plots are a known recycled plot concept so it’s no surprising to see it here and there. Please don’t compare everything to TTEOTM just because it’s the most famous thing you know 😭
