i was expecting a lot more from joongdunk
as much as i love joongdunk, this show was just not that great. the foreshadowing was extremely obvious, the second they introduced the killer's character, i knew it was them. and the plot line was quite cliche - at least ive read/watched quite a few murder mysteries with similar plot lines.as far as acting goes, joong always does an amazing job. he's such a good actor. dunk did really well too.
however, the show barely touched upon the severity of the things that took place (im talking about the murders and the methods) and there are SO MANY plot holes.
the two of them barely did any actual "investigating", they left everything to the lieutenants and forensics and did nothing substantial themselves except point guns around and get hurt (sorry to be harsh but its kinda true 😭).
they treated a lot of the things in the show lightly which are not to be treated lightly.
on a lighter note, the show was fun to watch if u don't take anything seriously - the humor was good. but none of the side characters were developed properly AT ALL. we barely got any depth into the main characters' personas as well because all the show focused on was romance and murders.
all in all, it had a lot of potential. i still think the heart killers is joongdunk's best performance so they could've done a lot better with this plot. the writing was pretty average and the romance scenes were kinda weirdly placed.
i wish this show worked better because it's not even on youtube so i was expecting high production quality if u have to pay to watch it.

best bl show in the last 3 years
i am so sad this show has ended honestly. i dont like avidly keep up with bls but i keep up with them enough to have watched both the versions of love mechanics lol. yinwar did SO well in the second version and since then i followed them begging for a new show with those two cause they act so well together.when they released the pilot episode i was literally the happiest person on earth 😭 i counted down the days until the show was releasing and honestly i've been super disappointed with all the bls i've watched since bad buddy and not me.
ok on to the review of the show - i had high expectations and i was NOT disappointed. the acting is SO good, and while every show has their bits of cringe lines and acting, i could excuse them because the rest of the show was good.
however, there are two things i didn't like - the first being how they just killed off jennie's character. i mean i understand that they were trying to depict how serious issues like debt can get, but when she fell of the balcony they didn't even bother to take her to the hospital or try to revive her. her death scene was like 2 minutes long and it was over 😭 they didn't show her best friend mourning and they didn't say a word about it after that scene. that kinda pissed me off.
secondly, the endorsement of violence. listen, i understand it was part of jack's job to beat people up, but they made it seem like hope genuinely enjoyed it?? like there were multiple times where he said something along the lines of "i like beating people up", and i don't like that his redemption arc was not really a redemption arc cause they acted like he barely did anything wrong even though he was a huge asshole and sadist. i'm sorry i just never liked hope's character because of how violent he was and how less he cared for people he didn't love.
ANYWAYS, other than those two, the show was literally perfect. they kept dragging on the plot until the last episode but somehow they handled it well and the show was paced really nicely - nothing felt rushed. i don't think i'll ever find a bl this good for a really long time and i want 100 more projects from yinwar PLEASE IM LITERALLY BEGGING 🙏
their acting and chemistry is insanely good - i've never seen a pair where BOTH of them are so insanely good at acting and also insanely good at acting with each other too. i've actually never wanted two actors to be together until these two, that's just how endorsed they are in their characters in the show - it's soooo goooddd. i mean i dont actually want them to be together, but iykyk.

only reason i'm still watching is for ohm
i went into this with a very different idea of how it would be executed. honestly i know that Ohm is a really good actor, so i wasn't expecting to be this disappointed 😭 the idea is really good, and i think they could develop a lot more on Q's childish character due to the fact that he may have had a majority of his childhood taken away from him, and when he finally has someone who cares for him like family would, he clings to them (i'm talking about min).i think personally, i don't like shows that focus on the romance more than the main plot. GMMTV really fell off in the past two years and the last shows i really liked from them were Not Me and Bad Buddy. or maybe its just that they're not making shows my type, but all the shows they're making have the same cliche scenes and similar plot lines - one character has a traumatic past and meets other character who makes them open up and then they both fall in love.
overall, the scriptwriting is actually pretty good compared to the quality of the show, but there are some really weird lines. idk how to say it but something about this show is just not good. the acting, i feel, especially leng's, doesn't match the romantic scenes. they do well in other ones but they just look like 🙂 the entirety of the romance scenes. the 6th episode looks kind of better but i'm so close to quitting this show because i want them to focus more on the whole drug trafficking, bribery, and gang plot more than the romance, but ig the show is just not made for that 🥲
