Formulaic. Predictable. Overused plot devices.
What I liked: The main leads Seonu and Sera. I liked their banter and chemistry. I love that Sera's "superpower" is not the main thing in the story, in fact it was rarely used after the first few episodes. Mainly because when Seonu found out it makes Sera weak and faint when overused. Love a protective ML. (Her "brother" realized it too that's why he was more open to their relationship after. He thought at first Seonu was just using Sera for her supervision.) Some will argue her supervision is what makes the show interesting, so it's stupid when it's seldom even used but I didn't really care about her superpowers anyway so it's not a big deal to me.
I also liked the side characters, Seonu's lawyer bestfriend, Jin Mo and his loyal secretary, Man Su.
What I disliked: Just the overall predictable plot. Of course, Sera is a witness to Seonu's mom's death without realizing it because when does it ever not be the case. Of course they met when then were kids because why the heck not.
The villains are very unsurprising. No plot twists that you didn't see coming from 5 episodes away. Resolution is also generic. I reckon you can skip a few parts here and there and still not get confuse.
As expected with action/crime kdramas, the romance is not the main thing and when they get together, there's barely any romantic scenes because they get together near the end and near the end is where shit hit the fan and there's no time to focus in the relationship development of the leads. Expected kidnapped scenes, fight scenes and the inevitable defeat of the villain with a police interrigation scene bonus where they admit everything.
Also side note, and might be insensitive of me but i kinda find it funny that the male lead in his big age (i'm guessing 32ish) is still so obsessed with his mom's murder. Dedicated 2 decades of his life. And don't get me wrong, at age 12 of course you'd suffer the death of a parent but to still be the same after 20 years? How do you even remember that person that much? Enough to still be so angry and vengeful when he's reminded of it? I find this unrealistic but it's just me.
Also, the amout of walking-with-new-outfits montage is laughable.
