I don't think this will turn into a tragedy drama like Uncontrollably Fond, I think the sci-fi part is added just to add more dramatic effect into the plot but more than likely it will get resolved just like how the ML survived in Angel's Last Mission. This is a wholesome and calm drama, I doubt they plan to kill off the ML, he will be fine :)

I believe there's more to what he meant when he said that, but the gist of it is what you said. Joo In actually had a good father so she's unable to understand what Bi Soo is going through because he has resentment towards his father and he's about to lose his mom, the only person Bi Soo has to depend on.

Last scene in the preview where they show Bi Soo getting off the phone and looking shocked, I think he got notified his mom passed away :( Ep 9 might be where she dies, I mean what else could he have heard over the phone that caused him to react like that ? Yes I'm guessing they just imply Bi Soo is the chosen one, but ep 9 and 10 will actually show Joo In confess to him. I'll let you know my thoughts once the subs are out so I can watch it :)
I'll probably just watch small clips of the episode but save it for next week so I can binge Ep 7-9. It's time the FL does some chasing, the preview got me excited! I didn't appreciate Yu Jin trying to get in the way of Joo In's decision in the preview where he rubs dirt on Bi Soo for not showing up, Bi Soo is obviously in emotional distress and Yu Jin is trying to use that to make Bi Soo look inconsiderate of Joo In's feelings. Yu Jin has indeed become a SORE LOSER.

And I'm guessing Joo In just feels more comfortable around Bi Soo, I mean even if Yu Jins date turned out to be better than Bi Soo's, Yu Jin just can't replicate the same feelings Joo In develops when she is around Bi Soo. It really doesn't depend on how good the date is, it matters on how well she bonded with that person, and I'm guessing from your spoilers that Bi Soo is the one she feels connected to.
I haven't seen the ep yet, I don't have a subscription for IQYI since eventually the free subs end up coming out on the drama websites so I just jump on IQYI to watch the free previews. I'm hoping Ep 8 cleans up that mess of an ending we got yesterday.

Not yet, but I saw the preview for Ep 9 and Bi Soo is emotionally distressed because of his dad confronting him about that time Bi Soo caught him cheating on his mom when he was younger. Joo In seems to show concern for him and is trying to help him but Bi Soo is isolating himself from everybody so it's only making Joo In more worried about him. It looks like they're setting up Ep 9 to be that typical romance drama episode where the ML is in distress and the FL steps up to comfort him and from there the romance blooms between them.
