Listen, I've been 🤡 🤡 🤡 here for years, but with most dramas only doing 40 eps, I'm kinda at peace with it not airing for now? Anyone else feel the same?? I would hate to see the 58 eps cut down to 40. Obviously it airing right now with a part 1 & 2 would be perfect, but most studios seem to prefer cutting down instead of waiting to air part 2

I could be wrong because my only experience with Fox Spirit Matchmaker is watching Red-Moon Pact, but I think the FL in Love of Pavilion is the aunt of the ML in Red-Moon. In Red-Moon Pact her story is mentioned as it takes place before the conclusion, but has little to no impact on the plot.

It will, terry is trolling. It's true that MangoTv really doesn't focus on the international viewer, but shows that premiered more recently than their example have air internationally. You know they're trolling and not misinformed because they're encouraging people to not request it on other platforms that would have better subs. It literally can't hurt to request a drama on viki. What a waist of time terry.

I hope so! But it got removed pretty quickly and didn't get to finish airing like Justice in the Dark. My thought is that it shows that companies are still invested in airing their bl dramas and MAYBE that some censorship is loosening. I doubt that tencent would air something this big budget without being 100% sure it could say up. I think it will definitely air, but I might have gray hair 🤡

The MOST red flag, the red-est red flag there ever was.

Keep in mind I've only watched through ep 7. The characters do have similar vibes, and are definitely red flags, especially from the fl perspective. However they're almost the inverse of each other. Zhang Linghe acts a gentleman, but is actually unhinged. While the ml in this showing his crazy, and hiding a deeper nature.

The Long Ballad was just okay for me, however the chemistry between Zhao Lu Si and Liu Yu Ning is fantastic and imo the best part of the show. I recently re-watched it because I'm too excited for this one, and skipped all of the politics and villain povs. If you can accept that you won't understand everyone's motivations I recommend watching it that way. You also probably could just watch the parts that have one of them on screen and have a pretty decent watch experience. Let me know if you want more specific details.

All that being said it's not like The Long Ballad was terrible, if you don't like skipping I would still recommend it for the two of them.

Definitely a badass and has the skills, however she has a morality and a kindness that keeps her from the "would kill you in a second" level.

Sailor moon and my hero academia are the two that come to mind. I don't think I'll ever finish either. After the netflix live action I know a couple of people who started watching the one piece anime and I refuse to watch something with that many eps.

The fl makes it pretty clear that she prefers the ml, but if the 2nd ml can be a ticket out of poverty she's going to take it. And the ml lead is doing the same thing. This is SUCH A JUICY dynamic.

So many people are complaining about the love triangle, but it's not set up like a usual one at all?? idk love triangle is not a trope I like, but after episode 1 I'm excited to see where it goes.

I feel this so hard, I'm out here looking for the same thing. I don't have a perfect rec, but here are some that might work for you. My two personal favorite revenge dramas are Nirvana in Fire and Reborn Rich. However neither is going to give you that romance you crave. Both have some, but it's not centered or super resolved. You should try Mr Queen, it's not revenge driven, but the time traveling mc is able to help the king deal with the villains very satisfyingly and the romance is great.

It's happened with two so far! But it's basically accepting that it will never be aired domestically and I think that's where nearly all the money is.
