Just started watching this but wow, Jisoo’s acting is so terrible that I can’t focus on the plot! In the first episode- the scene in the music shop- weirdest most cringe facial expressions by an actor! Does it get any better?
What's up with so many korean netflix series not being THAT super good recently?
Totally agree! Seems like Netflix has been trying to westernize Korean dramas for a broader audience, making them lose their true essence. They all just seem lacking in soul and emotion.
I wonder how Saeroyi was planning to bring Jangga down before Chairman Jang’s death if it wasn’t for Soo Ah’s whistleblowing. Seemed a bit convenient towards the end. As some people have mentioned, this could’ve done without the forced romance. Loved PSJ and ABH’s acting, both are absolute aces!
definitely not a huge fan of how netflix is changing the k-drama format to a more westernized one with multiple…
Exactly what i was thinking! I’d rather prefer a complete story in one season than something open ended with a ‘possibility’ of another season. Netflix is clearly monetizing these projects in a way that is not very convenient for the regular kdrama viewer. Might be ok to someone who is more used to watching western shows. I’ve been really enjoying the tving format of 12 episodes- tight story and not much drag with a clean ending.
Few additional thoughts-1. I work in fashion and Ha Young Eun’s character is very unrealistic- she seems to…
Of course 😉 I loved the quirkiness of Dali & the cocky prince and Yumi’s Cells. Currently watching Happiness and enjoying it so far. Just finished Bite Sisters available to watch on Youtube- short web series but very well made, and Kang Han Na looks gorgeous in it (her style is so chic). Started The Red Sleeve today- only 2 episodes in but seems promising so far. As you can tell, i enjoy most genres. 😁

Omg absolutely agree! SHK has the same expression in every scene, no range of emotion. I have yet to catch up on the latest episode but with so many amazing dramas airing right now, this might get dropped if the next 2 eps are as boring and tacky.

Haha glad you get it :P I think they could’ve not used French at all, especially during their *first interaction* in Korea, between two Koreans. That felt a bit unnecessary. I do agree they were better than some other dramas and I could pick up a few words here and there! 100% agree with your coat and belt comment!!
Wow, the fashion cliches are a bit much! And the French accent eekkkk. 2 episodes in and quite boring so far.…
Few additional thoughts- 1. I work in fashion and Ha Young Eun’s character is very unrealistic- she seems to be a designer, merchandiser, production coordinator and marketing person all-in-one! In a large company like The One, this just doesn’t happen! 2. For a show that revolves around fashion- the clothes are very tacky. As some other commenter mentioned, they should’ve hired the fashion team behind CLOY 3. So far it seems like everyone is “acting”. Nothing feels natural and there is no chemistry between actors. 4. If Young Eun is such a trailblazer at her job, why does she constantly need Jae Guk to come save the day? Bad writing imo. Give her the credit she deserves. 5. JKY deserves more than getting yet another drama that begins with a one night stand. His character vibe is very similar to WWW 6. There is a pretentiousness to this show that is not very appealing. Hope they get rid if that soon. 7. We don’t need any more bad French :)
