This show is not a typical BL. It explores the love among queer people basically because not everyone goes through "eternal love" which is highly romanticized in hetero society. Ko yeong loved every single person he met in his lifetime. Its just a time span, he has loved, been used, sometimes he was toxic and his relationship did not work out quite well with every single person he met. Gyu ho accepted him despite of having HIV but since his past relationship (he really loved loved noh yeonsoo) traumatized him he kind of felt very insecure about himself.
