I didn't oppose people's opinion or forcing opinion on people though, simply just sharing my own. Agree on what you said. Should have just have a good discussion with one another and if there's some differing opinions then let's leave it at that.
I honestly love to have a Season 2, and yes, there's a trailer/teaser and everything in the closing show. However, story wise, the ending for Season 1 is already perfect. Logically, from the facts mentioned in Season 1, the 10th reincarnation is the last reincarnation for God of War's tribulation, and Sifeng is basically just accompanying her in each tribulation. If she's successfully let go of her hatred in this 10th reincarnation, then she can ascend to the heaven (provided she's also successful in her immortal cultivation in this lifetime--which I think, she will--or I like to imagine that it is the case). Sifeng, meanwhile, is originally Xi Xuan (or Xu Xuan? Oh, well), the son of the Heavenly King, and logically speaking, if Xuanji should ascend, he'll ascend too without problem, and thus the 11th reincarnation is simply not needed, they'll just go to the heaven and be a god-goddess couple. Why the need for 11th reincarnation anyway? All of the conflicts, hates, and grudges, have been resolved in this 10th lifetime.
It's more make sense, if there's a Season 2, for the story to explore the 'other part' of Xuanji, Louhou Jidu, in his love/hate relationship with Bailin Dijun. I mean, they practically disappeared together in that final episode, with all of the notes that Dijun should undergo don't know how many cycle of reincarnations before he achieves enlightenment that would allow him to return to the heaven. Where do Louhou Jidu goes then? I'd like to imagine he's accompanying Dijun, and I'd love to see their journey.
When they made that seemingly Season 2 trailer/teaser back then, it could be that the production team really wanted to make it happen. However, there are a lot of cases where such project is then canceled despite any initial plan, and there are many reasons why it can ended up like that. So, yes, it's okay for us to wish for it, but better not wish for it too much, especially if time keeps on passing without any real news for the project.
Let's just wait for it leisurely and not fight over it :D
Better still if Cheng Yi and Crystal Yuan can just make a reunion in another project separated from this one, can't deny that I really really miss their chemistry on screen!
