yeah i know . she was the child chu qiao in pricess agents. i can imagine why she was cast for rebirth, i still felt that if they waited 2 more yrs, it would have been a lot better. but the chief producer (Zhang Meng) most likely wanted to bank on Li Yunrui's currently popularity ... it was a gamble in my opinion.
the story is quite heavy , the show gives game of thrones vibes kinda, but not as epic unfortunately. but make up and lighting are really good. cinematography is alright , though it seems there were a lot of scenes of the actors staring straight into the camera lens, particularly the FL....and single tear drops. lol. the first episode fight scenes were good but questionable logic. fight to the end and be on top of a pile of corpse. that's just stupid making yourself the easy target . the hell were the directors thinking? hehe
honestly i wished the producers have waited a couple more years to cast FL because she is so young. she does bear a lot of resemblance to the actress who was chu qiao in princess agents, she was quite good in the previous shows she was in and she is very pretty. but her face and body are still so child like ... so tiny frame and face - to the point it's distracting in the show, like her intense stares into the camera and her super straight posture ... like trying to be as adult as possible. lol
zhang kang le could emote more. crown prince was very good - he's so drama in some scenes it's so funny. li yunrui was ideal as zhuge yue imo so i felt the casting now was to bank on his popularity. his wild man xi men king look is madddddd hot. one could see that the FL in just one yr since the filming ended has grown a little bit more mature in appearance! but i guess time is money eh. li yunrui screen time is so little though!!! i'm on episode 10 , hopefully it gets better.
