THIS IS CINEMA!
Study Group was such a fun watch—honestly, I enjoyed every second of it from start to finish.
The pacing was perfect, with never a dull moment, and the character dynamics were so good. I absolutely love all the Study Group members such icons honestly. And the friendships in this drama were so well done, and I loved how every character had depth, a background story, and their own unique charm. None of them felt like plain, one-dimensional characters, which made their interactions even more enjoyable.
The comedic aspects of the show were also executed so well—funny without being excessive or cringe-worthy. Some scenes had me genuinely laughing out loud (especially the gochujang scenes—he’s so goofy, I love him).
As for the plot, it was also incredibly well done. I especially loved the quote: "I make opportunities in hellish situations” resonated deeply and encapsulated the show’s themes of perseverance and camaraderie.
And the action scenes? SPECTACULAR.
Every fight sequence was thrilling and well-choreographed, keeping me at the edge of my seat. From the camera work to the sfx to the precise movements every detail was executed well.
Huge shoutout to Minhyun for all the effort he put in—training for nine months really paid off because the fights were nothing short of cinematic. And the rest of the cast of course!
And honestly, I don’t care if some parts were unrealistic; this is based on a webtoon, it’s not meant to be hyper-realistic and thats part of its charm. I’m so glad they stayed true to that essence.
Oh, and the visuals??? The casting was perfect, and literally everyone looked amazing—even the supporting cast. My eyes were truly blessed the entire way through.
Anyway, I could go on and on, but I’ll stop here. These past few weeks have been so much fun thanks to Study Group. If I could erase my memory and experience it all over again, I would do it in a heartbeat. 🫶🫶🫶
