it’s.. okay!

Finished this last week and finally getting around to making this. Weightlifting fairy Bok joo is a remarkably unremarkable show. They set up all these things to make this a super dramatic show at first just for it all to be insignificant really by like episode 9 .The love triangle falls apart when Bok Joo gets caught for lying and Shi-ho isn’t even a real threat from the BEGINNING to be quite honest. I don’t even like slow burns or all that complicated mess but i’m in for the long haul with these kdramas and if you’re setting up all those plot points in my opinion it’s a little disappointing for it not to live up to that. Additionally by episode 13 to the end it gets really boring. And I don’t even hate the show or anything. It makes me super nostalgic late 2010s. It has that 2016 funk that makes you cringe and laugh but it seriously feels like they had no true vision with some of these characters. Like Tae-Know and Seon-Ok having a thing for each other then time skip and the scene was just irrelevant okay💀. It’s a fun watch but gets boring once the couple gets together by like ep 13. But!! If you’re into: ML loving HARD and lots of fluff and late 2010s shows and the humor that comes with it this is super up your alley.
