I havnt watched it yet but from reading all the comments, the story doesnt seemed to have any depth. I mean I…
Thai BL kinda never has depth though...so i mean, it is what it is lol

The ending in Secret Love Affair was also really disappointing
how was it disappointing in your opinion? i thought it was perfect

i haven't watched a kdrama in years because nothing will match up this one to be honest
lol i hope you'll find more dramas that you like just as much :) the director takes inspiration from human jdramas so i guess that would explain the more literary/poetic nature of it, something that's usually absent from kdramas but there's always exceptions

I'm going to start this series and ... I try not to know anything but ... happy ending? 3 season? Thanks…
yeah there's no season 3. this season was already them grasping at straws for some bit of (badly written) conflicts...and it's not fresh or popular enough anymore, so it's over.

Title Make It Right 2 Spoiler
Very disappointed with the series, the only redeeming quality was that some of the actors improved a lot. Perhaps…
"Trying to please everyone leads to muddle mess"

Sadly, they don't :/ They did the same thing with Lovesick, they really really don't care about what the fans actually want. The muddled mess happens because they don't care about the story. The way they see it, they delivered on the cutesy stuff enough to make some cash. There's nooo way there's continuation, these directors are notorious for doing disappointing endings with a million loose ends and plot holes...so this is it. I'm sorry for the fans, they got screwed over. At least there were endgames for some otps, unlike Lovesick

^ this. it's ironic how much lgbtq-related discrimination is supported through these bl dramas, lol. and the more mainstream these fujoshi-fantasy productions become, the worse the commodification and fetishization get

Pupart Chaiyapol is a fucking horrible actor, his acting is just bad, and he is so annoying to, even his looks
objectively speaking the thai entertainment industry prioritizes looks over talent, so pointing out the consequences of that is fair.

i gave it multiple tries but it just kept feeling like a cartoon :/
ah is there one that you recommend? something fun and kind of slice-of-life but focused on romance i mean

WHOA, lots of comments bashing this show because it's not what some may haved wanted or hoped it to be. It's…
heh the word 'bashing' is a pejorative with connotations of a physical assault, so it definitely isn't synonymous with 'criticizing'.
anyway re: your argument about unmet expectations - the bar was set very low to begin with (i expected nothing with a side of nothing), yet somehow they screwed that up too starting from their discrimination against lgbtq actors at the audition stage. i especially like how the ones who are openly queer get publicly humiliated while losing their job, and those who are closeted will never come out bc who tf would under these conditions? lol

WHOA, lots of comments bashing this show because it's not what some may haved wanted or hoped it to be. It's…
1. many people liked sotus so they expected sth similar in quality at least, that's fair
2. "it's not based on a true story"? that's a new one lol
3. it's fair to make comparisons to a book it's based on, that's how it is with adaptations
4. no one's asking for an oscar-winning cast, but the ability to act, period? that's not much to ask for tbh. and that's the PD's fault, for prioritizing physical looks as #1 so that acting skills are optional
5. it's a low brow commercialized show, it is. that doesn't mean it's not immune to criticism, especially when they actively and openly discriminate against lgbtq actors.

tl;dr - valid criticism ≠ bashing. you just meant to say "enjoy the show and shut up" in other words, right?

Well, finally it's over. Totally not going to miss this horrible show... xD
anything from these directors (of Lovesick and Make It Right) just gets more and more godawful, i'll steer clear of anything they make

You guys, it's just a fluffy and cute drama series for people who are constantly tired of all the full time…
a ton of thai dramas are full of mindless comedy/fluff though? enjoy your fluff if you want to, if you don't have criticism then that's more than fine, but people can criticise if they feel like it.
and lgbt representation might not interest you but it's still media representation that affects real people. some feel the director is being exploitative and discriminatory for example (he literally got rid of all the openly queer candidates in that made up casting call lmao) so it makes sense that not everyone will be okay with that. thai fans themselves made the #boycott2moons tag on twitter long before the first episode even aired, so it's not like international fans are alone on this

hmm idk i do like fluffy romcoms sometimes but i need more realism i guess. if adult characters act like middle schoolers it's kind hard for me to get into it tbh

The acting of both main lead is so stiff...
hmm i really hope that in the future there will be characters with more depth and different personalities, but idk if that's likely? (stereotypical boy/girl dynamics in these fujoshi-bait shows aren't going anywhere huh :// that's what the target audience wants to see)
