yeah, he knows his fate and doesn't want her to be in pain or regret . xl's love is the purest among all of them. he is not possessive of her or his love for her (he is aggressive when he tries to force her to hate him ) , does not make empty promises and does not confuse her (for everything he does for her, he gets something in return). his story is tragic but also memorable and beautiful.
i love it. xianxia is one of my favorite genre, but I was tired of almighty gods and their realms and similar plots over and over again in first episodes. it is more enjoyable to see an undercover god and his beast to live in the immortal realm and struggling with magic. every episode is getting better and better. it's so fresh and fun and i know the angest coming and im ready for sobbing. there are parts that could be better like cgi or ost, but the rest are great. many s+ dramas don't have cgi or ost problems, but script and acting problems , and it's a xianxia so no need talk about colors and sets and make up tbh. this is why you shouldn't decide to drop a drama based on the first 2 episodes or haters comments, you should wait at least 6-10 episodes.
this drama is a light xianxia, its more like the starry love than ancient love poetry (Alp). i actually like where they pick up the story from Alp and make it more in immortal realm so leads act more human like. i love the leads especially the ml, his character is fresh, easy going, loud and goofy. its xianxa so color pallet is always the same but i love lusi dresses and ml dresses fit his role ( a lazy ordinary student in immortal school and an undercover god ). set and cgi is so good and above my expectation. i like the way they are acting. its not sooo xianxia ,it's more modern and has more emotion in the face and voice which suits the way the story is told.
and like always in every lusi comeback dear haters, believe in your favorite actress ability. with targeting ZLS in every drama, your beloved actress don't get more famous and their acting ability won't go higher .
the production team is lazy and irresponsible. I heard almost every actor I know for ml role . this bs could affect Lusi......... just confirm someoneeeeeeeeee ...........

tbh i feel like jing character is problematic for the story, which makes xy looks bad too. if jing and fenglong characters were combined, I feel it would be a better balance for the story . his character is not very strong for the story and it also makes the issue of xy's abandonment meaningless. some of you say "she needs him, he is perfect for her or he is stable compare to others, he pursue her first and ... " but she is selfish, wise , has abandonment issues and wants to live a good life ( convo with her grand pa ) and it doesn't make sense for her character to waits for someone who has fiance and family issues (and actually can't solve them) ?????? like how ???logic doesn't work here... her character in the beginning is different from now and not in a logical way. it doesn't feel like her. i feel she wrote jing for the sake of a happy ending for xy and yes i know jing did remarkable things in novel but what i say is, If you really want to analyze him, he doesn't fit this kinda story. his character fit more into idol drama which this drama try hard not to be, so he doesn't sit right in the storytelling and actually making xy break her character Instead of developing it ( good or bad ). and by the way all actors did a great job .
my poor XL😭... at least let him rebirth somewhere . every time he is on screen, I just cry until the end of the drama, so I don't even watch the rest of the drama properly.....
