It's special!

This kdrama feels like summer vacation to me visually. The cinematography, aesthetics and music here are special (compared to other popular dramas i have watched). Although it's old, it's very ahead of its time in terms of topics being discussed, stories that are told and scenes being shown. Even the kisses here aren't awkward like in most popular kdramas😭They are very natural and passionate.

The story was interesting. I really liked the concept of their cafe and the friend group they created together with it. All the characters were amazing, i loved them all.❤️ The cast and the acting played a big role here, they did a very good job bringing these characters into life. This is my most favourite thing about this drama.

The main couple had a great chemistry, which is what carried their romance. They had a lot of issues though, like often arguing (and doing that in the middle of the cafe, in front of everyone, like wasn't there any other place?😭)

The other couple (Han-sung and Yoo-joo) were a total mess and super toxic. I don't support that kind of relationships at all, but it was interesting to follow their story as well.

I found the music and the way it was used special tbh, not like i am used to hearing in other romance dramas. It created a certain vibe, which i really liked.

Overall this drama was good and special. I can see why it's a classic. Although it isn't for everyone. I watched the first episode once and dropped it, then i decided to give it another chance and it definitely gets better. I don't know if i will rewatch it anytime soon tho...

This kdrama is genius.

This kdrama is genius. I watched it when i was 17 and rewatched it now when I am 24 and enjoyed it just as much, if not even more. It gave such a nostalgic feeling, though despite being almost 15 years old, this kdrama feels fresh and timeless. I will explain why i think it's genius:

1. First of all, it's the Y\N dream come true. Everyone who was going crazy about some band in 2000s/2010s or maybe even now will enjoy this a lot. As a huge One Direction fan who lived the crazy fangirl life for years, including reading some Y\N fantasies, shipping band members and reading dramatic fanfictions, i think this kdrama pictured the feeling of those days perfectly.

It also includes boys with 3 different personality types/images that are generally liked by many:

Shin Woo is the handsome, romantic guy, perfect gentleman, prince charming, the knight in shining armor who would do anything for his love and keep fighting until the end.
Jeremy is the kind, funny and cheerful type of charismatic guy - a sweetheart.
And finally - Tae Kyung with the mysterious/dark personality, sarcastic and sassy at times. He has kind of a villain/anti-hero vibes. (My personal favorite)

They all fall in love with Mi-nyeo (Y\N dream, i repeat) and therefore there are 3 different types of love stories (altough only one worked out):
The typial romantic story with Shin Woo.
The best friends to lovers/ adventerous/ happy stroy with Jeremy.
The enemies to lovers story with Tae Kyung (again my favorite!! At it was perfectly represented here, with many ups and downs.)

2. Secondly, the drama is soooooooooo funny. It's acctually hilarious! The plot is atually pretty heavy at times, but every episode makes you feel good, beause they have perfectly balanced it with humor!!!

3. The actors did a great job, even the side chrachters were amazing!!The Manager Ma was such a funny character for example.

4. THE MUSIC is PERFECT!!!! Even the lyrics have so much meaning. Apart from the official soundtracks, hearing some hits from 2000s occasionally (like Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga etc) gives such a nostalgic feeling.

There were some things i didn't enjoy that much. For example the story with Shin Woo was dragged on for so long, i wish he didnt have to go through so much heartbreak. (But then those things also happen in real life)
Also, the last 1-2 episodes were a bit messy and repetitive, with Mi-nyeo leaving then coming back then leaving again and coming back again, same with Tae Kyung . Though the main target audience of the drama are teenagers (don't get me wrong i enjoyed it a lot at 24 as well and i think adults can also like it), so those things should not be taken too seriosly. It was overall a perfect drama and is timeless!!!

Watched it twice, but still want to clear my memory and watch it again.

This kdrama is PERFECT. Yes it's long, but all the characters are deep, and they take a lot of time to tell you their story and to make you live it. I think you have to watch it slowly to maximise the experience. You will miss it a lot when it ends.

The cast is just amazing, all of the actors played their roles perfectly, i loved and emphasised with all the main characters. There were so many character developments, wow. I feel bad pointing someone out, but Lee Joon was especially great in this kdrama. His character development was the best, and all the scenes with him were great. It felt like he is naturally funny and cute, his expressions were the best!!! I can't imagine anyone else playing this role and honestly fell in love with him, and i hope he will get more romantic roles in the future. Their chemistry with Jung So-min felt really natural (Then i found out they were together in real life)

Yeah, some secondary stories (like the marriage of the father- and the mother-in-law) might seem unnecessary to the overall plot, but even they are worth following.

This kdrama made me laugh out loud, cry tears of sadness and happiness, smile and giggle over the happy couples... all at the same time!
