If I'm gonna be influenced by smth, for me it's going to be the comments and rarely ever the rating. Almost every single comment (if not all) on this page is beyond positive, so I'm not too worried that people will be discouraged by the rating. Personally i have to finish (or drop) a show before i rate, but everyone is different. Honestly though, if someone wants to rate from the 1st ep then that's their right you know? Like you said, everyone has their own tastes and opinions. A little research on the show we're planning on watching is good, we shouldn't expect people to decide for us.

I believe it has been said by admins that a show takes at least 3-4 eps to become normal. Maybe a lot of people voted at the same time or smth. Let's wait.
