They really outdid themselves with AoS, they're delivering everything with it!
They really are, like the plot, character, special effects, the chemistry, the costumes (except when Uk is wearing the same one outfit) this might be controversial but I already like season 2 better than season 1
I just wanna say I love the CP as a character like Buteon is truly on point about his warm and good soul/heart, like no matter what he is always kind and trying to help others
I genuinely don't understand how the Hong Sisters are doung it, like there is not one moment when I am bored in the series and just the way it just gets even better through this season is amazing!
Buyeon as a character is probably my favorite part of the drama (with of course Jae Wook and the plot) the way she carries herself is incredible and I can't wait to see her develop as a character, Goo Yoon Jung is doing amazing acting as her
This is just a little thing I noticed, at the end of episode 3 where they are holding the yin and yang jades their colors are parallel to one another Uk wearing blue while Buyeon has the blue jade and then Buyeon wearing red/pink while Uk has the red jade. It probably doesn't mean anything but props the costume designer for it or whoever planned it out if it was purposeful.
Omg all the references in this episode. First, the lakorn scene was too funny. And then they gave Thyme a cat…
I LOVE LOVE that about the drama if you scroll down we actually talk about a lot of the references and I find it anazing how they are incorporating so much, Hana's name Thyme's middle name, Dango beung the cat, and so much more!
It was so damn sweet to watch, and I was so happy they did it with the Japanese version especially I am sure I…
They are probably gonna make a place called Yori like a bar in my opion. Did you also notice how Thyme full name is Thyme AKIRA Paramaanantra? That was such a fun add in and I was super excited when I first heard his name!
My personal thoughts about the episode -I LOVED how in the beginning of the episode they did the thing with Gorya’s family it was super fun to watch and then to see her run away was even better -The whole first part of the episode (I watch the parts on YouTube cause it’s just easier) was seen to set up kind of Mira’s departure and Ren wanting her to stay, Ren ngl seems a bit more needy in this version but it’s okay -Seeing Gorya stand in the rain waiting to talk to one of two to see this unfold I think has a big impact on why she straight up goes up to Mira and tells her to stay since she can tell Ren really needs her -THYME BUYING THE BUS was easily the highlight of the episode you can see how he’s starting to try to get along and understand Gorya and he is doing it in a really fun and cute way which I love I like how instead of having Tia go with Gorya they let her instead go first talk to her brother cause that really shows how she cares about him and prioritizes him -I can see that Gorya’s friend is slowly switching over to getting jealous of her and her relationship with F4 but hopefully she won’t be as crazy, but also that kind of counteracts the preview of episode 4, but she seems sweet, so I am hoping for smth different -Cindy or Roselyn truly scares me in this version, because you can tell she seems way more powerful and dictates a lot more of what Thyme does compared to all the other versions so I am super excited and intrigued as to how they will develop her -WHEN I TELL YOU I AM SO GRATEFUL I AM TRULY SO GRATEFUL THEY GOT RID OF THE SEXUAL ASSULT SCENE because I was always so uncomfortable when I was watching it and it was genuinely terrifying so it is amazing they got rid of it because they understand that it isn’t okay to show that (meteor garden 2018 can’t relate) -Gorya’s conversation with Mira to her conversation with Ren has to now be one of my all time favorite scenes the way each and every characters delivers their parts and lines to fully embody the character is perfect -You can also see how Gorya is truly an amazing person, because she knew if she tried to steal Ren for Mira he wouldn’t be happy and you can tell how she truly cares about his happiness above a lot of things including her own wants -Ren pushing her was an amazing change and a very important change cause it shows just how much you can cause Ren to switch in a second depending on your actions, but I also think his conversation with Gorya was a reality check -The airport scene has to be my new favorite one, like nothing can compare to it because Thyme isn’t mad his bsf kissed the girl he likes, he’s mad his bsf is leaving and never spoke to any of his closest friends pretty much family and the way they acted the scene amazing -I love how F4 truly feels like a family in this version you can see how they have gone through so much together and how they care for one another -Thyme and Tia sibling dynamic is probably my favorite out of all versions again as well, you can see how Tia genuinely wants Thyme to be happy and wants the best for him so he can grow and evolve into a better person -The last scene isn’t as effective on me as the Japanese one, but it is still amazing and I can’t wait for the next episode All in all this version has already stepped up to higher level above all the versions prior to it (except the Japanese version that's gonna take a little more) and I can’t wait for more
The way Ren pushed Gorya... TWICEAlso, I really love the subtle changes. I love that Thyme doesn't get jealous…
high-key terrified of Cindy she seems like she will kill me and also all the characters are just so amazing, I like how they show Ren getting mad at Gorya and I loved that whole discussion between the two it put so much more to both the characters, and like you are saying all the characters are on another level of when it comes to their characterization, and I can't wait to see more!
I concluded that she played basketball by how I think in the first episode, when she opens her locker there is a picture of her holding a basketball so I though hey maybe they will explore smth with that.
Hopefully the add a little bit of Gorya playing basketball since she has an athletic scholarship to attend the school, so that would be interesting and fun to see since usually it's the boys that play basketball in dramas, so I would love to maybe see a Gorya x Thyme basketball scene!
I'm waiting for the raining scene, while he waited for her
AHHH easily the best scene ever, the way he just stands there almost pleading that she will show up, it's so heartbreaking but warming when she does show up.
1. He treats her like his second option,2. He is in love with Mira,3. He does these 'dick-moves' JUST to get reactions…
This is probably an unpopular opinion but I hated him the most in Hana Yori Dango, he was so annoying and wouldn't leave Makino alone, and all around he was just way more pushy in the Japanese version, and I hate how they act like they are helpinng.
Anyway, I just want to say that the fiest two episodes have been amazing and I dont feel like anyone is really being left out or underdeveloped, I love how the porudctuon of the show is and everything is to a te they really nailed it at embodying how this is more modern and changing the characters to make them more realistic. I am super excited to see Thymes sister in the next episode but yea thats all I really wanted to say.
Thyme: As someone who really hated all the other versions of the ml in the other one Thyme is quite refreshing…
literally there was rarely ever any development to him and I really like how important they ate making him because if I am being honest I hated his plot point in the chinese version I genuinely believed there was no point for it
-I LOVED how in the beginning of the episode they did the thing with Gorya’s family it was super fun to watch and then to see her run away was even better
-The whole first part of the episode (I watch the parts on YouTube cause it’s just easier) was seen to set up kind of Mira’s departure and Ren wanting her to stay, Ren ngl seems a bit more needy in this version but it’s okay
