Brillant storytelling, lackluster plot
I wanted to like this drama so bad. I love the sisterhood and push for the story to center around the women characters. It was brilliant in its method to show how power can easily corrupt and kill. It really was such a beautiful tale.
However, I have a huge problem between the main leads. They had no chemistry. Even though he forced her to marry him and she begrudgingly fell in love with him, their romance was lackluster. I understand that it took more of a backstory because it was more centered on the female lead, but I'm a sucker for a love story so it was a disappointment for me.
I do believe it's a great drama for those who leaned toward more a realistic, political, slow-build plot that gradually build up their characters but it was not my cup of tea.
