I don’t usually write a review but I feel the need to defend My stubborn for being criticized for having many nc scenes and being misjudged. Yes, there are a lot of nc scenes and they are exclusively spicy, and the story is lacking but I find this bl captivating for many reasons. The main couple’s chemistry is really outstanding, the acting is good. The plot is cringe yet I don’t feel myself cringing at the acting. They deliver both the sad and the romantic scenes very well. The nc scenes make up for the lack of plot, when you are about the get bored they spice things up to keep up your interest. The rated scenes are bl heaven, and you can complain about it all you want, but the bl world long needed a series which give a little more detail of bl sex and desire without shying away from it. The sex scenes don’t feel awkward at all and they aren’t forced chest kisses ongoing for 5 minutes, they get to the point and every scene brings something new to the table. I think it’s kind of more realistic than the all fluff and cute bls. Guys are horny and freaky, not romantic. I don’t rate this bl as a ten or as one of my favorites, but yes I have binge watched it and the last episodes gave me butterflies. The way they look at each other or simply enjoy spending time together finally passes the level of just a spicy bl, you could feel the love and commitment. I get that kind of “we have been through so much together, i will definitely stuck with you. this isn’t just lust or love, this is commitment. it has to be you” vibe for me. I would definitely recommend to watch it, it starts confusing and a little weird but later you’ll get into it, promise. The soundtracks are really good too, the main one isn’t something i would search up on spotify yet its been stuck in my mind. They used a fitting, nice music for every scenes, the last time I felt this satisfied with the music choices was with Revenged love. I’m looking forward to see more from BoatOat, whether spicy or not. Can’t wait for KNOT. Was this review helpful to you?
