Plot was realistic, dark as it should be for historical times with upheaval. good cinematic shots with good grey male characters.

But FL characterization is was such a let down in this, that character did not deserve that much screen time, She had growth in middle with potential but by the end it just fizzles out, first she was got gro*med by a teacher and she wasn't his first rodeo neither last as he died with another "female student" of his, also was creepy to the core.
When she started living with 2nd ML he also acted so creepy , trying to peek at her while she was bathing her child or she was sleeping.
she got ass*aulted by the 1st ML whom she never confronted, when 2nd ML asked about her things with first ML her reasoning to stay away from him was because it would be disrespectful to her teacher as their ideology did not match 2nd ML accused her having fun with 1st ML which resulted to the child in such a disrespectful way but she and 2nd ML got into bed like 2 days after that
she left her child with her sister for good little time and only chose the child after the teacher was gone and rarely cared for him, but when liang xiang's family offered to take him she opposed which was good & rational thing to do but after some time when she came back she did not even try to meet the child once for whom she was fighting so much back then.
Also she flirted with like almost half of the male characters that appeared LOL.
Only female character that was interesting was Liang Xiang's mother. other female characters were just used as props.
