You don't have to watch GAP to follow along with the story. However, watching gap would provide more context on Nueng's past and character. For the second point, people made assumptions based on the novel; however, that is not the case with the show. Both mcs are consenting adults. Hope this helps !

I completely agree. All of a sudden everyone has these insane expectations for GL that it's just unfair. We usually get the same awful cliches and tropes but for once we get a decent show and all the BL fans are suddenly critics ??? Every time I see those comments, I feel so disappointed. I get that everyone as personal taste and preference but what happened to being considerate and kind ?
