I think it’s best you find a way to separate the show from the web toons. This will happen every time. You can’t…
There are some things I love that people don't and vice versa. This just didn't do it for me, but from its ratings and of course your review as well, it is well loved and that's what's important. As long as its being enjoyed then that's all the producers can hope for. Everyone has their own tastes and opinions haha.

Yea, like I loved Semantic Error! It’s was amazing. But this just hasn’t pulled off the essence and chemistry of the characters themselves and between them. For Semantic Error, it felt exactly like each character was who they were based off, whereas this one felt, idk, not as much. I don’t want to say this is bad or isn’t enjoyable because it certainly is, but it just lacked the essence of the characters and story that is Cherry Blossoms After Winter.
Furthermore, if I am being objective and not thinking about the show in context to the webtoon, it still felt weird. A lot of what Taesung did didn’t feel like it had real motive (I.e., him liking Haebom). The pacing was off for me as well. This may be due to it only being like 8 20 minute episodes so they have a lot to ‘cram’ in.
Either way, it’s an enjoyable watch, just let me down in what it could’ve been; in compassion to execution of Semantic Error.
I'm going to be honest, if I hadn't read the webtoon I wouldn't have enjoyed this at all. Having read it, I was able to fill in all the missing plot and personality I felt the show was missing. I was able to fill in the blanks the show left me with since I had read the webtoon. Everything is well done (the actors did the best with what they were given), but it just for me felt like it lacked depth and that the screenwriting needed to be, idk, fixed or something. There was chemistry but not(?).
I don't know why I love this one so much, like I've seen everyone give this above to just above average reviews compared to the other 'critically acclaimed' type BLs, but this one just gets me
This is my favourite genre of drama, I need more on this list because I've been using it for recommendations. Go Ahead has definitely taken over as my favourite drama of all time, not exclusive to asian dramas, but TV shows in general
