Oh yes! I shall rewatch. My pacing complaint is minor one.... There is so much I miss at first viewing.

I got slightly impatient with GZY's mom's story. I am a sucker for tragic heroines and her story has all the elements of one... maybe there will be more reveals as the plot progresses.

I think GSJ is much more that what we r led to believe... I am waiting for her to go crazy!

GSJ's story still makes sense for the amount of screen time it was given. I respect how he asked his guards to keep an eye on YWS during Lantern Festival. Bcos Gong family comes before anything for him.

I still dont get wht GSJ hates GYZ. Just bcos he might not be Gong blood. His story gave enough evidence that he is kind and took his younger fatherless cousin GYZ under his wings. Still we r expected to believe he didnt accept GSJ. I might be losing a lot between the subtitles. So do correct me.

The plot is losing pace in ep 12 and 13. The emotional back stories of GZY, GSJ and GYZ pushed the mystery element to the back seat. As much as I love GZS and JF storyline, it is being used as filler to keep delaying the puzzle.

We are half way through the series and she should have fallen in love with GZY by now. Though it is not explicitly shown... which is kind of irritating.

The habit of confusing myself continues.... So how are Gong Shang Jue and Gong Yaun Zhi related again? GSJ's biological younger brother was killed by the Wufeng assassins. So GYZ is his cousin?

Same! Hurried here quickly just to check that isnt true!!! :D

I think Shangguan Qian threatened to hurt her sister(or the younger comrade back in Wufeng) when she held her bird locate. That's why YWS stole the record.

A female director always wins at such scenes for e.g. Hidden Love, Go Go Squid, Professional single. The female gaze is not an easy task to pull off on screen.

There isnt enuf groundwork by the script to get us invested in their young love. Whatever info is coming through flashbacks is little. Which is why viewers are hating the FL's guts.

When a snail falls in love has a strong female lead who is physically weak but is mentally very strong.

male lead is angry with fl bcos she brokeup with him due to family pressure? but he knows it wasnt her choice right?
