Another masterpiece from the same director of Lovers of the Red Sky, My Love from the Star and Painter of the Wind. I actually just finished LOTRS before watching this and didn't notice it's the same director. The cinematography is really nice and I enjoy how the story isn't all about the leads' love. There's secrets to be revealed and many fun characters. Everytime the leads have their moments, it isn't much but make my heart flutter uwu. The length of 12 episodes is decent becuz if it's 16 it might be a bit draggy. good series.

I knew about the schedule problem so I waited for it to finish broadcasting. Def a good watch for simply kdrama enjoyers. Most people just compare everything to the book and put aside all the good points of this drama. I watched so many dramas with open or a not so bad but not really happy ending so this drama makes me contented and that's all I need

sorry this is just my opinion but I don't really agree with you. Two of the writer's works were both directed by the same director and they have amazing casts too. Most viewers give the 2 shows praises but when I really watch it, I was disappointed because the characters are so flawed, not like realistic flawed people but hypocritical and morally flawed characters. What makes the dramas by this writer so good imo is the cinematography, actings and chemistry between lead actors. The noticeable thing I like about the writer's characters is no matter how f up the plot is, they always seem to be calm and down to earth like they did nothing wrong and the universe is in their favors. Don't get me wrong I'm not being sarcastic becuz I do think this calm attitude is what makes people drawn to the series, since in melodrama what I expect to see is more overly exaggerated attitude. idk how the writer pov changed during these last few years but I hope they not making another drama with similar stuff like before.

Dropped midway through ep 2 becuz of FL. I started off great, I really enjoyed ep 1, but in ep 2 FL keeps insisting to be "friends" with him even though she knows him likes her? I don't say it's bad to be friends but ML already explained why he don't want to and she acts like she desperately wanna be close to him. She doesn't like it when her father wants her to get married, she doesn't seem to have more hope in the toxic relationship with her ex but not decisive on breaking up with him wth? Right after FL and ML had a talk and agreed to be friends they saw FL sister talking with ML friend, FL immediately tense up and confront the sister like ML friend is a bad man that her sister can't be friends with. I mean the dude is a nice guy (he stood up for ML when another friend kept saying bad things about ML in ep 1) and going to take the Civil Services Examination, he did nothing wrong tho? FL said she just want to be friends with ML but when her sister ask about ML she acts like jealous gf. I watch this for Jung Hae In but couldn't try harder. Urg I hate this kind of hypocritical character so much :<

did you finish it? I thought the same but before I knew it I was on ep 8 and from then it was so much fun and chemistry between 6 main characters very cute. From then on I finished the series in a flash <3

In the beginning of episode 2, the hanging lanterns scene with simple yet efficient camera work, costumes, backgrounds, props and servants plus the funny interactions between 4 characters feel so good like a normal length drama. I feel like the production team and director really put their best into this series. Sad that it is so short and rushed :<

Yeh it's the same for You are my glory. If it has aerospace industry or other international nature related fields they just gonna insert patriotism. That's not a bad thing actually since not many countries do that with their films.

Kang Tae Oh's characters are always interesting becuz no matter how good or bad they are, they always give off a jerk boyfriend energy. I mean they are cute, energetic and fluffy but sometimes they will make you wonder when will the bad side come out with a secret red flag. I agree that 2nd couple has better chemistry than main couple. However, Lee Young Hwa starting to get on my nerves == I mean compared to other 3, who are persistent and try to do their jobs well, LYH can't seem to separate his art from his crush chasing at all. I know art is supposed to be more on emotion side but bruh, he agreed to do a painting for Dan Ah, not for free but it can also be placed in a famous art museum - every art student's dream - and all he cares about is making excuses to meet her. He didn't do his job properly, he got angry when things isn't on his term (the movie date where he got angry at ML, the phone number...), his bad boy/almost like stalking attitude when talking with Dan Ah, urgh I can't take it. Maybe it's just my preferences or becuz of the contrast in his character with calm but goofy in social interaction ML, but I don't dislike fluffy cheerful boy in kdramas, I've seen quite a few but they don't annoy me like LYH did. Dan Ah is a bit crazy, I didn't like her at first but really I admire her confidence when having to deal with a family like that <3 I think the ending that 2nd couple does not end up together is so satisfying to me becuz I believe Dan Ah deserves to be loved by someone more mature and can walk on the road of life with her until the end.

This is a such a good drama lol. I love how lighthearted the interaction between the main couple is. Some people say they lack chemistry but I don't think so. They feel calm, comfortable and understood when they're together. It doesn't have to be all bickering or having funny interaction to be considered chemistry. They both have a sad and pressured background, I love their subtle and awkward interaction because for me it also a way to express love amidst their hardships.

I expected chemistry between but what I got is FML running around asking people to "Let my friend go!" and "You must not hurt my sister and uncle!" FMl character is decent, like she isn't annoying but rather brave and can be helpful sometimes but that's it about her :<
Her best friend is so much like a filler character lol. I mean FML literally getting involved with gangsters and cops but all her best friend cares about is FML's love line with ML?
