Beloved, this is my analysis and review of what I saw in the episode and what I am excited to see. Not everything has to be explicitly stated out. If you read in between the lines and look at what the characters do you can obviously see it.
Kim who mostly spends time finding ways to protect kinn in his own way genuinely enjoys his time with chay. Now he is avoiding his calls and made reference to him losing focus on his main goal of protecting kinn while having a conversation with big.
Regarding the vegaspete stuff, I am sure you heard me state that I haven't read the novel. You can also see me state that I am excited to see how everything works out for them based on how much VP stans have hyped them up.
If you are looking for someone to argue with about changes were made to the novel regarding vegaspete or why there is too much of the main pairing then go to BL twitter and speak into the void there. You seem to be very bothered by it.

Oh gosh I have spent so much time gushing about kinnporsche I didn't even write about kimchay my babies. They are the cutest things ugh. I love how kim assumed he is still in control when it comes to chay lol. The porsche/chay bros know how to make their significant other(s) weak in the knees. Got porsche turning kinn into a cute instagram model, an out of control sex beast and essentially making kinn rebel against his dad. Chay using his charm to lure kim in and have all his attention until he is done with him. At this point just put a cute smiling pic of chay and kim will forget anything important he had to do lol
As for vegaspete I haven't read the book but I assumed they were a slow build kinda couple. Ugh I love slow build. So I was very surprised at the mini squabbles I saw on twitter about ep. 8 being filler and there should have been more VP scenes instead. VP stans have made me more hyped for their scenes lol. Cant wait to see how everything plays out for them. Now we have confirmation of season 2, I hope we see the character development from not knowing of each others existence to kinda forbidden lovers and finally growing together. At least that's what I have heard happens lol
P.S. I disagree on EP 8 being just filler since it establishes the main couple trying their best to be normal in this violent and high stress world that happens around them. From Porsche coming to terms with and getting comfy with dating a man and falling in love for the first time to them not being able to keep their hands off each other and finally we see how their communication has improved. We also see that kim seems to be in denial about his feelings for chay and is trying to push him away just like his elder bro did originally to his significant order, Unfortunately kim its too late. You are in deep hehehehehe
