I think so. Even-though he used the excuse that Lynn's boyfriend and him are friends, I think he decided to finally make his move after years of crushing.

It's stupid rivalry lol. It's just herd mentality with the main leads gang. I don't think he hated him though. He did start to dislike him when P'An told him not to date Lynn and blackmailed him to do camera work.
