Great article i watched the British version in 2006 when it aired on the BBC channel and loved it the main differences I remember were that his dad was the cop that Park Sung Woong plays in the past and like you said it was the 1970's not the 80's....I was born in the 1970's so I remember all the bad fashion trends. Lol..John Simm and the actor who played his dad were amazing with a love/hate bromance just like the Korean one
i love the Korean cast and the 2 male leads always impress me with their acting in all their dramas plus there is a kicka#@ lead female who is smart, independent and can fight
i admit I don't remember the ending and there is a sequel too for the British one but a woman is the lead that travels to the 80's and meets some of the cops from the past from season 1 and is caleed Ashes to ashes (another Bowie song)
First : I +1 femmedesneige comment: not funny...I know you didn't invent the word, but comparing women fantasizing…
I agree with you about the pedonoona being inappropriate since it is a crime and wrong and I think they should remove it...... i would maybe have "noona romance" which is an older woman with a younger man over age 21 in a healthy and consenting relationship like Witch's Romance
awesome thread..... I suffer from most of these syndromes and one I call "noona romance" since I am in my 40's and there are too many hot guys younger than me that I have crushes on ... luckily Jang Hyuk, Ji Jin Hee, Cha Seung Won, Kwon Sang Woo, Song Seung Heon and Lee Byung Hyun are all hot oppas my age so I don't feel guilty drooling over them
Lee Joon and Jung So Min are so adorable and glad they are dating in real life..... i am excited when actors are dating or married since i want them to be happy so I don't have that syndrome
I agree with your review.... leeJoon was an amazing, sexy psycho and even looked hot as a clown and I hate clowns....the FL annoyed me too and I learned any FL who is a psychiatrist or psychologist in a kdrama needs therapy too and is usually very gullible (also Bride of the water God.... Worst psychiatrist ever)
very inspiring story..... I admire you for your strength, perserverence, focus and following your dream
My dream job is to be paid travel to different countries and take photos, visit restaurants and write a blog about the experience .....I love trying new food and travelling
Isn't this like Romantic doctor Kim?By your words it really reminds me of it...Also longer article pleaseU described…
It does have corruption like Romantic Dr Kim and a brilliant surgeon that is treated like an outcast.... I am not finished with the series so I don't know if he has a back story like RDK where he is blamed for something he didn't do and that is why he left his prestigous hospital to work in a small one..... I do think the xray may point to a back story of either why he became a surgeon (someone he loved died) or why he is treated as an outcast
I love Tokai and his sarcasm and confidence......I just wish it wasn't predictable since every episode another doctor is chosen to perform a surgery and Tokai always has to rescue the incompetent surgeon halfway through and the other surgeons won't give him credit for it because they are jealous..... It reminds me of the show Dr X except that show has a female lead who always saves the patient in surgery and she is also an outcast too and predictable but I still love her spunky character
i think the librarian killed the brotheer because he was investigating the hit and run site that killed the real guy whose identity the killer took... the killer may be an ex- con and couldn't find a job or he needs an transplant and knew both men were matches and organ donors (like Cross drama)
I am wondering if they chose another manga that wasn't finished like "Flatterer" and "Cheese in the Trap" so the web writer told them they had to leave it open ended.....The Flatterer stopped halfway so I really got frustrated...
is it normal that female doctors run around at the ER in high heels when all other workers wear sneakers?
I agree plus they were stilettos which are better as a weapon than to wear especially when they work long hours and have slippery floors....you can tell she's not a surgeon since they can't wear heels in an operating room and have to wear those shoe covers
I admit I have empathized with several villains due to a traumatic event in their childhood that shaped their psychosis and most of them are also played by gorgeous actors ....lol
* Lee Joon in Gap Dong * Kim Jae Wook in Voice * Dong Ha in Suspicious Partner * Park Hae Jin in Bad Guys * Lee Soo Hyuk in Scholar Who Walks the Night * Park Bo Gum in Hello Monster * D.O. in Hello Monster * Ju Ji Hoon in Devil (even though he only set the stage and didn't kill anyone) * Choi Won Young in Hello Monster and Doubtful Victory * Lee Kwan Hoon in Hwarang and Black * Nam Goong Min in Sensory Couple and Remember * Sol Kyung‑gu in Memoirs of a Murderer * Kim Nam Gil in Memoirs of a Murderer * Wallace Huo (Simon) in Love Me if You Dare
Villains who I really hated

I love Korean variety shows since they have a great mix of celebrities, comedy, games and bromances
show I have watched and liked
✔️ Running Man ✔️ King of the Masked Singer ✔️ Knowing Bros ✔️ Roommates ✔️ I Live Alone ✔️ 2Days 1 Night ✔️ Please Take Care of my Fridge ✔️ The Key ✔️ Strong Heart ✔️ Infinity Challenge ✔️ Radio star ✔️ Law of the Jungle ✔️ Hidden Singer
I have watched the first 4 episodes and enjoy it so far especially the seductive trio..... I admit I wish that Ryu Hwa Young was playing Tae Hee since she and Woo Do Hwan had smoking hot chemistry in Mad Dog and was bummed they never kissed in that show.... Joy doesn't have as much experience in kissing or intimate scenes and Ryu Hwa Young is more comfortable playing sexy roles too... I am wondering if Min Jae is going to play the tutor that Hye Jung's character falls in love with ( if they follow Cruel Intentions) since I don't see any other actors besides Choi Soo Ji's ex who she gets revenge on
