Because of China's censorship, even the clues given to us are quite ambiguous. In the drama she never mentions that she remembers her past life, just that she dreams about it. Even the scene of how she is so good at painting has nothing to do with her past life. Kinda sad about it since she actually learnt it from her shifu. Did you read the novel?
