I think seojoon is one of those bubbly people who brings joy and happiness with them, however jiwoo has carefully cultivated a persona of not caring and being a loner (my theory is that he has this as a defense mechanism bc he is in the closet). jiwoo has started to care for seojoon despite himself (he even helped hide him from the reporter and antifan). you can see it in jiwoo's gazes and hidden smiles when he thinks noone is looking, he's just too timid to be as free with his feelings as seojoon is. Also jiwoo is just an earnest person in general, after all the first meal he made was simple but not easy and making food is how he cares for others, so even though he was "upset" he was extending the olive branch by offering to make the risotto, like their relationship didn't shatter just bc he rejected the kiss.
