" So what made FL to think that doing all of this is better than just ask him and let him choose?"You…
Not gonna lie you say that you paid attention and read my reply but seeing your other responses and this one leads me to believe that you did not.
I know its impossible these days for people to change their mind on the internet and its futile for me to try but this is your own entertainment and you would rather stubbornly ruin the story for yourself instead of perhaps consider that you misunderstood the plot point or FL's character... This drama is not perfect but your complaints are addressed in the story yet you seem to overlook them.

No, the story is definitely told from FL's POV. You are confusing them (writers) showing us ML's painful past which they are trying to use so its easier for us (the viewers) to understand FL's struggle to reveal the truth and why exactly its hard for her to do so.
Everyone has betrayed ML's trust but if Ming Yi revealed the truth and ML made the choice of saving FL that would mean that for the first time ML would be the one betraying someone (his master and savior).
We know just enough about Ming Yi/Ming Xian - we saw her character - just and willing to sacrifice herself for others, we know her love is real and she cares about ML more than about herself. We know she was never enough for her mother (I assume when the story shifts into the second half more will be revealed) and we know she just wanted to be herself and for her mom to accept her - which is what was driving her Warrior path and which is WHY she went to ML. We know she thinks a little of her life but she is still trying to save herself because that means she would be winning for her state which would make her mother see her "worth." Dont think we need to know more in order to understand her tbh.
Unnecessary drama and illogical plot.So she doesn't tell him why he needs the GM because oh he promised his master…

You arent paying attention to the story or whats being said. The reason why FL doesnt ask is because:
1) If she asks that means ML will think (and he would be right) that she only approached him and married him etc etc ONLY for the medicine... which again he would be right. We as the viewers know FL's true feelings but ML was literally betrayed his whole life and everyone around him has been using him, it would be only natural for him not to trust her again.
2) ML promised his savior and his master not to reveal the medicine to the world (ML's master also broke her Bo clan's trust or how to say it by saving ML which created the whole story). Every state in the Six Realms wants that medicine/poison and its because ML's master saved ML that they even have the chance. So FL doesnt want ML to break his promise ON TOP OF making him choose against his master and savior vs his love ON TOP OF revealing this to him means that again he will feel betrayed and used which FL doesnt want.
Thats why FL did what she thought was lesser of two evils. By trying to steal the medicine without revealing anything she removes the painful/"impossible" choice from the ML of betraying his master vs letting his love die and "only" made him hate her (which would possibly happen either way AS THE FL IS THE BAD GUY IN ANY SCENARIO - its just that the story is told from FL POV so we empathize with her).
