the little snake is often on chi cheng's arm in a your holding your pet dog type of way , the snake pit fight in that first ep is the only time thats really shown tho there is another scene about half in that involves in being wraped around -redacted- but its ok in the end . every now n then in the earlier eps you see snakes for plot reasons but the later half after the indecent. they aren't That prominent overall and not in every scene no .

i feel the same way . great show anyway , the acting and chemistry was amazing , if not for those slight fumbles it would've been a 10 instead of a 9 on my list . the last ep in particular felt this way in particular moreso than previous ones. but still with the time we were given it was great.

its sorta a pride thing yes , thats what it boils down to

honestly the forcefulness really feels like it dies down after a bit ( in a good way) a couple eps past your spot , obviously i can't speak to a rushed ending or not with 1 ep left , but i'll say particularly with ep 23 the character arc/growth in this is pretty great . i haven't seen addicted so i can't compare

just realized a bit ago also , i hadn't watched this past monday and tuesdays yet n was like :O next week! i was thinking there was another week left

yeah they're acting is pretty great , its part of what makes the show so good .

i can't say if it was edited or not honestly , but i will say i was pretty happy with it . i love a tastefully done heated romance scene and even if not explicit i found it satisfying, it definitely felt better than ep 10 imo which while good felt a bit disjointed.

its ok to like what you like :) i wish more of my family and friends shared my niche interests

same honestly . i mean a low rating is fine cause tastes can be different but its rare i ever read 1s or 10s , 1s are usually a troll and 10 while Sometimes perfectly warranted tend to be given out too freely and are generally strictly cause a particular actor/actress/idol is in it . i mean i have my 'favorites' too but its rare a show is a solid 10.

honestlt reviews on here have always been an issue. don't get me wrong i've dropped things while airing and given my whatever amount of stars, but the fact you can leave a full blown review and not just ep review before something is even finished is a bit ridiculous since things can get bettor or worse. and how often is a show so bad that a 1/10 even an accurate review? in the 13 years or so i've been around here the lowest i ever rated something was a 3.5 if i even rate it at all if i dropped it . granted the fact that theres no outlined scoring system like actual publications instead of random user aggregates doesn't help cause reviews are opinions and everyone uses a different metric.

honestly i can deal with a subpar plot depending on just how bad things get but some are always worse than others. i've watched some pretty rough dramas in the past yr or so that i've stumbled upon so my tolerance is reasonably high even moreso when its sort. even BL aside i have some real straight stinkers on my list from when i got back into watching asian dramas a year n change back after having been out of the loop for the better chunk of a decade since my fiance isn't into subtitles.

too true , i don't watch BL dramas often cause so few off the ones i have watched don't seem to pull it off well , and the ones that sorta get close tend to have something else lackluster going on . this is my first chinese BL and its hitting all the good notes to my pleasant surprise . i know there are clearly 'issues' with availability due to obvious reasons but do you have any others you'd recommend that have a similar level of chemistry with at least a average-good plot?

yeah thats the thing about ratings specifically user aggregated types that don't adhere to specific criteria of sorts what it coomes to judgement. some ppl may rate things based on production quality vs others script/story quality , where others just on enjoyment level. which is different from a professional outlet for similar or other media like games for instance where a specific site will have a certain bar to judge things by and a scale to let users know how said number/letter/star rating factors into that scale. for games i've always liked gameinformer but their 'average' is a 7 based sorta how schools in their area judge whats probably a C equivalent at the time ( something definitely different state to state if you ever changed schools by state in the US. because of this type oof scale alot of games won't rate too much lower and if they do. its usually for a particular reason where as when i was younger i would say something is 'average' if its in the middle a 5/10 or a 3/5 star if you will but if i were to grade a 5 as average for a drama that would be the same as a 7 on a scale like they use for games . in the years since thinking about that type of mindset/process i somehow gradually started to lean towards the 7 not 5 as average but i don't scale based strictly on certain qualities but enjoyment level.

TLDR: thats a really long winded reasoning to say everyone scales differently so reading impression comments or reviews is a better judge than a number.

half in n there really isn't one least so far . that said if your looking for a romance its sorta flat , its there but extremely lackluster this is more comedy leaning than romance leaning

only half in so its hard to say what it'll rank by the end but i feel you. the initial 2 eps were a solid enough start with its funny bits as an opening so i recommended it to an old friend who i just learned is into korean media ( we hadn't talked in Years). once the 2nd week's eps were shown i'd easily have lowered the rating i'd gift a full point tho slightly better at the tail end of ep 4. but last weeks eps started stronger and ended pretty mehh. there Really isn't any substance n mostly consists of cheesy humor. hopefully it'll get better but being half in already my hopes are low. the acting is pretty meh tho i'd imagine thats more of a script/direction issue than any fault of the actors, tho the only one i've seen in anything else is the male lead n that was over a decade ago when he was relatively new so who knows

i'm glad i'm not the only one ^^ . having memories to share with is nice for these types of things , i'm the oddball in my family none/most of them are willing to watch subtitles , its a shame they don't know what they're missing

far from the best plot , but at least the steamy bits were well acted script aside . i've watched worse but also alot better
