They confirmed it on socials a few months back but it’s been radio silence since. May have been dropped.
Wow, fans really treat these actors as their property. No wonder they have to hide their relationship status. How would Sam be playing Yu if they are not even in a relationship? That makes no sense. If Yu is signed for 10 years that's sad. I am not sure why people take BL actors and stories of they are truly against it. That is bad PR because the longer he stays with his management the more people might turn on him or even forget about him.
I was following this whole thing from the beginning but the fans were in here going hard for Build. I stayed shut because I wanted to give him the benefit of doubt but also because I believe people can change. But there was something with this guy. I mean the things he said was kind of recent in terms of he should have know better. And then the case was finalised and people thought that meant he was innocent when it meant they settled the matter meaning both parties contributed to the problem. It's crazy how him speaking ill about the people that worked close with him was what made people finally side eye this guy. I know Apo was feeling some kind of way because he took some flack for defending his comments and the court case. Build needs to take some time to reflect on everything. And yes, I could not get into Vegas and Pete and I tried because I like Vegas but their scenes didnt feel authentic. Dare I say, even Chay and Kim felt more authentic than these two. I think if they had more of a build up I would have saw the vision tho lol
Saw online that they tried to film last year but Sam fell into sickness. Rumour saying he could not get out of…
That is so sad. I am sorry but this constant censorship and distancing actors from one another once they do a show together...why even have hints of a BL (bromance) or a BL? It seems like some actors and their management immediately regret it. It's sad because for some BL is a career starter and it's fine to not want to take any more roles but they act really disgusted when asked if they will take another.
Season 1 was better. I feel like they rushed the storyline for the second season. They never even explained the woman and child in the beginning. The second and third couple should have had more screen time and Shou Yi should have had a declaration to Zhen Xuan before they finally kissed. And the marriage.
Wait, he did what? Bible and Apo had his back the whole time and this is how he thanks them? I cant. I feel bad that Bible had him as scene partner. No wonder their scenes were hard to watch lol I feel sorry they all had his back and this is how he acted. How do VegasPete fans feel about this?
Every time I come here I am hoping to read good news but every time it's just "What Build did this time." It's sad that this series has been glossed over by one individuals actions whether true or not. I try to rewatch this show without thinking about the drama behind but it's no longer possible. The fans that are making it their mission to defend him with every fiber of their being are not helping. I get that Build may be falsely accused but the saying "doth protest too much" comes to mind. Meaning if you keep on being on the defense people might be inclined to believe that the allegations are true.
ETA: I typed this without knowing about the new scandal. Build really burned his bridges.
Very good drama. It's hard to follow after episode 15ish but after a rewatch and some research you will get it. But still confused about some parts.
What I didn't get was how people come back to life so much and so fast. I missed that point. For example, in episode 21 when Li Wu got the hook through him, no way can he live through that, Also, how Lu Zheng and Dong Fang (both real and fake) would get stabbed and at the time there will be a lot of blood then in the next scene it's barely a drop of blood on the clothing. Editing.... The last episode was one of my favourites. Because of the censorship, I am going to delude myself to believe that Shu Tang knew that Li Wu's heart was also with Lu Zheng. And she made the choice for him. And that when she is finished with her "mission" and they meet again, whether Li Wu'is still by Lu Zheng's side will be her answer to begin a relationship with him or not.
I would have scored it higher but they lost me when Zheng cut off Wu's hand. Wu seemed to always have reason because I wouldnt mind if he got revenge for that. Zheng is smart when it comes to his work but he needed work in his personal life. I am not sure how he could not have seen that Li Wi was trying to protect him by hitting him where it hurts...twice. Even after it was revealed he didnt show any remorse. Again, maybe it was the censorship.
I wanted to like it but I figured out the story as soon as he introduced himself as Peter Lue. And why was he wearing gloves? I thought it was bc he couldnt get them done and Ken will know immediately but he saw them so what was the reason for wearing them?
I wanted to like this series. It took me a while to complete bc i had to digest the episodes. The pauses were necessary. Its not a good thing when the only reason to continue a show is bc of the actors chemistry. The story was there but i dont know why it didnt wow me.
I feel bad saying this. LLS is the only decent actor on this show. Itt's acting irks me and I understand that's a wig but they couldnt have written in him getting a haircut? Frank looks nice with his buzz cut. Everyone else, acting also irks me. Again, if wasnt not for Lee I would have dropped this show. Lee deserves better. I first saw him in Even Sun and wondered if he would be comfortable doing a stand alone BL and this series proves to me that he is but he just needs a screen partner to help sell it. I do not think Frank is comfortable. I read he came back from service so maybe he just needs to settle in? Idk. But I think Lee is a rising star. I think he can (will) get better with every role he receives.
I finally finished this series. It was a beautiful series. Predictable but the story made it worthwhile to push through the sixteen 1 hour and half episodes. It was hard for me because why are series the length of movies nowadays?
It was too long. A show does not need to be almost two hours. The show should have stopped after 14 episodes with the last episode being long. It was decent show but I dont get the 9.0 rating. It was a nice story but told many times before.
I feel sorry they all had his back and this is how he acted.

Very good acting from everyone.
