Vegas has been through alot, I'm not justifying his actions and words. It will take time for him to change especially as he was badly abused by the hands of his father. He has basically been called the bottom of the barrel. His feelings with Pete is something new to him. Pete feels he cannot be enough, whilst Vegas knows he is but needs to fight his demons.
In the book his outbursts actually stopped after they had sex with consent. He went through little moments but not like how he did in the series.
He became softer with Pete, rushed home to see him ( Pete/ Vegas was originally not in a safe house).
The angry Vegas you see was how nasty he was in the book. I really did not like Vegas in the beginning. He constantly attacked, beat and raped Pete.
Even there sex scene in the book started whilst they were watching a aminated cartoon. Before they slept together they actually talked more, Pete gave him an insight about Gun. Pete helped him with paper work. They even talked about Pete's hometown and grandmother.
Pete was annoyed with himself for sleeping with Vegas the first time. Pete wanted freedom so he started to try and annoy Vegas and be like Thakhun.
Vegas loved it which was hilarious. Vegas constantly called Pete when he was out, made sure he got him his favourite food and rushed home to sleep next to Pete.
They started to like each other and Vegas started to fall hard. How he escaped was that Pete had interactions with Vegas bodyguards alot. One of them told him that Vegas will say anything to get what he wants and not to believe him.
Vegas had attended a party and left early for Pete. As Vegas came late, Pete got quite upset and was annoyed that he was feeling this way.
He saw some messages from Vegas phone and got jealous. He wanted to be out of the home and started bashing his arm. Vegas got involved and begged him to stop that he cares for him and likes how better Pete made him.
Pete didnt believe this because of his past insults and actions. Plus the comments from the bodyguards. Vegas did unlock him but pleaded for him to not leave him.
Pete used the chain to knock Vegas out and ran.
This is one of the issues of a series being developed from a book. Content is missing and their four episodes could only fit so much.
I do like them in the series but I just wanted to give you some information about the book. Bible and Build did really well showing the emotions and pain of VegasPete.

Chay was a fan that was kinda infatuated with his idol. Got him and lost him.
Whilst Kim was being a spy and followed Chay, a fan. First for information then fell for him completely. Had Chay and fully lost him to his own doing. He is regretful. The idol fell in love with his fan.
The single tear from Kim gave me a awww but I really need more content from them to fully be invested. Unfortunately I'm not but we have a season 2. Lets watch this space.
Kim can come across cold like ice whilst Chay is all sweet and soft like bubblegum. Yet it kinda works.

He did piss me off when Chay got kidnapped. When Chay ran off upset, Porsche should have followed and stayed with him. He shouldn't have listened to Kinn and told him to have space. The boy got kidnapped and kicked like dough. I am not leaving my brothers side. That annoyed the hell out of me.

VP - Mad about them, actually obsessed lol. Vegas is deeply in love with him. Vegas being without Pete has destroyed him. Vegas couldn't even get angry with Pete knocking him out and running off. He understood Pete's reasonings and all Vegas thought was I want my man back.
KC - I'm with Chay all the way, dare I say I was proud he blocked Kim. You're his first love and now his first heartbreak. Let him heal.
