The fact that Daehyun and Yeonjoo never tell each other how they really feel frustrates me A LOT. Also, I really hoped he would be the one breaking up with and not the other way around tbh.
I started this because of Eleanor Lee and I really loved her character here. However, I don't think I can finish it. The male lead's character is just not strong enough to keep me going.
I have watched both the Taiwanese and the Korean version of this story and I liked both. Honestly, when I first…
The reason why I felt the ending was rushed and unsatisfying is because of the reaction of Jiaxin and Xi Yi to the truth. I felt like at least one of them should have confronted her about her lie. I mean yes, she was not directly related to the miscarriage but SHE was the reason a misunderstanding has happened. She caused them to live three years of their lives in agony while misunderstanding each other. Not to mention that when the miscarriage happened, she didn't even seem like she was regretting her actions (A MOTHER LOST HER CHILD BECAUSE OF YOUR LIE).
Also, I was very excited to see the reaction of the family to them getting back together but unfortunately there was nothing. I loved their scenes and I was kinda disappointed that they didn't appear a lot in the last few episodes.
I have watched both the Taiwanese and the Korean version of this story and I liked both. Honestly, when I first started this I thought the changes that were made were actually better than the other two. The story was more realistic and a lot of things made more sense here, which I liked very much. However, the last four episodes or so were so draggy and many scenes were unnecessary. The ending was so rushed and it was not satisfying compared to the other versions. I do like the assistant here more than the one in the other versions and I definitely love how the FL here has a friend to talk with (Si Qi). Although, I hated how she never contacted her when she left ( I wouldn't like it if my best friend cut me off so suddenly like that ....)
The chemistry wasn't too bad but it wasn't that good either. it was just fine. Also, the second male lead, Dylan, looked more like a friend than someone who has "romantic" feelings for the FL. I just couldn't feel his love for her (not as a friend).
This has got to be one of the most well-written Chinese dramas i've ever watched. It was flawless to me. The story was new and felt very refreshing to watch. especially with having women take control for a change. It was nice to watch men suffer in the ancient times lol. but I really liked how they ended up realizing how important equality is and how it would solve many problems.
The chemistry between the leads was soo good. I loved their characters so much. the female lead was more than amazing. She was strong, smart and funny (everything you want in a female lead). Also, the comedic parts in the drama were not forced at all. I usually have problems with chinese dramas because they tend to exaggerate some stuff to make people laugh but this was genuinely funny and it made me laugh a lot.
I think they did it for the element of surprise so that the viewers would be kept in the dark about her plans…
Oh yes I do understand that and I know it's better to do it this way. But I meant like they could've shown us a flashback or something to know how they came up with the plan and stuff. And sameeeee haha I was like are you really just gonna do it here? Like in prison? Your first time? Especially that it was something both of them waited desperately for lol
I wish they had showed us how she told him everything when she visited him in prison. I feel like a lot was missed in this one scene like how she explained to him why she sent him away, or like how they planned to fake her death.
