I want to watch this but... anything that recommends 'Double Mints' stops me. I still wish I never watched DM. Are there explicit scenes? Scenes leading up to sa and cutting away? Things I'd like to know so I can avoid it or watch it.
I must say that I absolutely love Johan's character development. He was really rough and demanding at the start and now he really is more soft.... and still demanding lol but I really think he had a great character development. You don't really see that too often in BLs. I just love how touchy feely Jo and North are. It doesn't feel awkward, it makes everything feel normal and I am all here for it. I never felt like anything Johan and Bas did was cringy.
MiniRant: It's like the couples in BLs, or any drama's really, can't touch each other or it might lead to something more... it doesn't have to. Intimacy should be normalized as being other things. It can be just holding hands, being close enough to have your shoulders touch each other.
When does Johan & North start? Do I have to watch every episode?
Sadly it's not really that clean cut. They are scattered throughout the episodes, very lightly in some. If you only want to physically see them together in the same scenes: The first episode they have an interaction is epsiode 5 on the uncut version, I would start at 32min and 05 seconds in. Just because its a nice build up of their first face to face. 🥰
Also, I watched the uncut version so thats the time stamps I'm going by. The cut version has slightly shorter scenes and some things are cut out. Idk which are which.
Episode 6: Towards the end, about 40mins in, they interact a bit longer and more "touchy" but not romantically. 😅🍺
Epsiode 7: They are in the same room at the beginning. The uncut version at 17:30. Around min 24 they text/phone call. But they do a thing where its like North is in the room with Johan, so they are "in the same room".
Episode 8: 9min in North is with Johan for a little bit. 29:40 they are together again. Flirting and cute moments. 43min in Johan gets super jealous and mad. Sulking with his friends because of North. They aren't together but its cute.
Epsiode 9: From the beginning until about 22mins they are together. 47:38 they are together again.
Episode 10: This Epsiode is JohanNorth dry, in terms of physically being in the same place, until about 55mins in things start happening and Johan comes to help North.
Episode 11: About 16mins in is when the stuff at the bar starts to build up to when Johan comes to help North. About 26min in Johan confesses his feelings and they have their first kiss. Cute moments and their second kiss follows. After Jo drops North off at school, there are no more interactions with them in that Epsiode.
Epsiode 12: About 38mins in Johan and North are together. A special kiss follows soon after 🥰🥰. They are mostly together after that. The ending especially 🙈🙈.
Episode 13 : They are together throught the first 34:06 mins. You can fast forward some of the basketball scenes if you want. After min 34 it's all HillTer.
Episode 14 is out for most, only some who could get it through fast track. Whatever that is 😅. Not something I did, so I will wait until Thursday.
If you want to have context behind their story, I'd suggest you watch the whole thing and skip through parts where they don't talk about whats going on with North and Johan.

Lol that's true. Lee does like to tease. I kept guessing that Fah had always liked Teerak and Lee knew, but after that epsiode it feels like he didn't know either one liked each other lol. That's why it feels inconsistent. Or maybe I was reading them wrong this while time 😅. In any case, I really love the squishyness of this show so much!!
I don't like how they did Oh's "redemption". There was nothing to feel like he atoned for anything. So when they try to make you feel bad for him, you just don't want to.
Teerak apologies for not liking Oh but Oh takes no responsibility and doesn'teven apologize. Then they tried to show the backstory of why he fell for Teerak. It makes you feel like you can't be nice to anyone or they will become obsessed with you. No no no.
The story doesn't keep track of stuff thats already going on. Like Oh's mom was supposed to do something to Fah, but she seems to have pulled back from that. Last episode made it seem like Lee knows Fah liked Teerak so he let them stay in the same hotel room. It's not consistent. Or maybe the translations aren't quite right. Idk.
Other than that, I love this show so much. I don't skip through any part of it. It's cute and vulnerable about starting to like someone. It's sweet. I love love Fah and Teerak. ❤️ I just love it a lot.
I thought we would for sure get a full episode of JohanNorth today... sadness. Honesty, it could have worked the way they were doing it if it was organized more and paced differently. I like when they don't tell you things up front. That way of story telling can work with flashbacks, but you really have to make those flashbacks amazing and none of these are. It's like the flashbacks need flashbacks.
It almost feels like they didn't develop any of their stories, rather they try and build up momentum and skip the good parts. I don't get it.
Such a shame since they have really great actors and decent material. I've never seen them try and squeeze out so much from one story into so many epsiodes before.
I'm still watching it, ride or die, cause it has it's moments. I've loved Ngern since Water Boyy the movie and have watched pretty much anything he was in. Been there from Bas' start too. 100% worth it since they brought Maxky and Bas together. I would give almost anything for them to be in many more bls together.
Daotok. The quiet guy whose the head of the drawing club. There is supposed to be a season 2 for the other 2 couples. Not sure if it's going to happen or not.
