no, it has nothing to do with popularity, YSY has 3 projects this year (1 drama, 2 movies), so weekend drama is the best option so that he can keep filming movie at the same time as filming the drama.
In SK, KBS weekend drama is well received and loved by many viewers. Many people think ( especially international fans) that weekend dramas are not high budget production when its well known that KBS weekend dramas pay a lot for actors per episode.
Imagine with a rating above 20%, how many advertisements and sponsors support this drama and it is more beneficial for the actors. Not to mention that they also have the opportunity to star in commercials and use all sponsored products in the drama.
The true healing drama. I really love how the show manage to show us the healing process of Yong Shik. I really proud of Yong Shik who finally realize his value, how he learn to find happiness in 30 points life.
