Title Not Me Spoiler
Ep 12 comes out in a couple of hours, and I need to admit, everyone gave up on gramblack but I still have hope. There needs to be a reason as to why Black and Gram haven't been in the same room since Black woke up and I genuinely don't want to believe it's because of Eugene's plot. I don't think Gram is actually interested in her, rather interested in her relationship with Black and projecting at her the feelings he clearly had for his friend (like fr. did we forget episode 2 with him smiling reminiscing when Black taught him how to ride a bike? His love letter with the matching pets? Him smiling to the stars telling Yok he was in love with someone so close to him (I don't think he and Eugene are particularly close tbh)? Even White saying as Black lay unconscious that he thought Gram actually loved him... Idk. I am so confused by this Eugene thing that I think I'm going insane LOL I wish the girls just kissed each other fuck those dudes they're so messy

Title Not Me Spoiler
So I've been wondering about stuffs regarding Black. I'll put it as 'spoiler' below.
I think Black is a lot more sensible than he seems at first glance. Right at the second episode, after the arson of Tawi's property, Gram reminisces about when Black taught him to ride a bike. Even before White opened his mouth and Gram started to notice he changed, he went to him and hugged outright with a lot of intimacy. We can't be sure of Black's character until we see him interacting with Gunpa/Gram/Eugene, the people that seemed the closest to him. But when we hear his thoughts at Todd's house, his heart is clearly in the right place and he's moved by the right things.
I think something important about Not Me is that they are a political group, and some direct actions made by activists must be led by someone as strong-headed as Black. The group wouldn't even exist without him, And it's proven when Sean goes after White when he quits the gang and says that he ignited a fire inside all of them, that things could change. His methods are clearly aggressive but I don't think someone else would be able to make everything work. In a revolution, be it cultural of a system change, there will be leaders. White's approach of being more conciliatory and doing his best to avoid conflict is cute, but it's not enough if it doesn't has the push Black and the others have. His idea at Tawi's fabric worked because he was already inside the building trespassing, but if it depended 100% of him they wouldn't even invade the building at the first place and nothing would've happened. Black clearly gathered well intentioned, kind hesrted people that had the power to do what was needed to do to make it work.
It's hinted that he dislikes when people do not follow his instructions. I believe he's more analytical and theoretical than passionate like the others can be, and that's why things were working before even without White's insights. He is in it purely because he believes it's the right thing to do (and it is), because unlike all the other characters he has no particular revenge to get into activism. He is from a well-off family, with rich friends and the opportunity to not give a fuck about society. He didn't lose his father, he doesn't has a disabled mom, he is just deeply moved by injustice (something that, from his privilege, even White had a hard time letting it go).
All that being said, I do think he's an asshole DJJFJDJFJF like fr he goes Too far in his personal relationships and there's no need to be like that in private. But then again, we underestimate how needed people like him are in revolutions. I hope he gets a nice ending since we're probably not getting gramblack 🥲 Trying to not get my hopes up.
