I agree that actions speak louder than words. Do San and Jipyeong are both sorry and regretful for their actions in their own way.

Also, saying sorry is not always a matter of heart. Some people are manipulative and use "I'm sorry" as a golden ticket to get forgiveness and continue their toxic ways. Do San tearfully expressed his deep regret and wanted Dal Mi's apology. Jipyeong on the other hand, wanted to make sure Dal Mi understands that Do San's feeling for her are real. That Do San was never fake in that regard. Jipyeong showed consideration and gave her space when she wanted it.

I don't think Do San is saying sorry just cause he was caught. He always had feelings of guilt and regret before. It was always on his conscience, just like when he cheated on that math competition exam. Do San is very good at vocalizing his feelings. Jipyeong is very introverted in a sense that he keeps a lot of his feelings to himself.

He handled it maturely. Not a sob-fest, woe-is-me, world-is-ending kind of apology. Some people can just say "I'm sorry" but no changes come of it.

Jipyeong constructively laid out the events that happened. He also shared facts that put Do San in a positive light too. He didn't want to hurt Dal Mi at all, even if it meant telling Dal Mi that his rival's feelings for her are true.

The synopsis doesn't make this drama sound romance-focused either.. sigh. Writers!

Yes, I just worry that the writers are trying to spin it off as 'Do San, although he lied, truly fell in love with Dal Mi.' DM and DS had kiss scenes, and more time for their budding relationship to develop while the writers spared very minimal time for DM and JP. :'(

I wish your theory holds true though. I can't pin point why but HJP's character is much more endearing to me than Do San (who in many scenes, just drove me crazy).

Even it HJP isn't end game, I wouldn't be bothered. He deserves so much more, and can always find someone who loves him for who he is - and sees past his outer selfishness (cause his heart is so kind).

Me tooo! It does seem like the writer is trying to show that Saha is "unknowingly falling in love" with Dosan's friend though. I hope this isn't the direction they're going for because I like Saha's character as it is now lol but I guess we'll see..! :O

HJP gave Do San a reality check and harsh critique that Do San doesn't fully understand the business side of things. Is Do San a very intelligent and skillful developer? Yes. But does he know the ins and outs of the business world to survive, and actually make something of those skills? Not yet!

HJP was very real with Do San. HJP could have offered more insight and knowledge to Do San about business, and what to do. But the critique is constructive. Alex is from a large, international company so they probably have more resources to support their developers. HJP just threw a hard fact at Do San. Do San can study or seek out help for what he isn't so strong in.

Honestly, Do San picking Alex is a smart choice too. Alex is a good guy it seems lol, he saw passion from Do San (well Do San's cousin's editing skills) video.

JP gives Dal Mi space. He respects her desire to be alone. DS on the other hand, what was he doing? Even for kdramaland standards, this was blatant stalking. It was hard to watch. DS's sobby, self-pity-crying was just too much also.

Maybe the writers wanted to portray that DS was "in pain" because he felt empathy and felt sad because Dal Mi was sad but... it just came off as a self-pity cry.

I don't think it's Ji Pyeong's 'failure' not to have any friends (currently). He can always make friends in the future, as friends come and go, and even re-enter our lives.

But yes. It's great Do San has true friends to back him up. Ji Pyeong on the other hand may have struggled to find true friends while striving for his goals in life.

Also, people surround themselves with friends who may not be TRUE friends. Which is I guess a 'fail' by your definition!

That's funny cause I felt the same from Do San! Goes to show how everyone is different :)

I'm not in any "team."

It was frustrating how the writer allowed Do San to have more speaking time with Dal Mi than Ji Pyeong. Do San was given the opportunity to voice his inner feelings and reasons for what he did. Ji Pyeong didn't even get that chance, except for one meal where he confessed his feelings. He wasn't given the opportunity to share his reasons for it, but the actual feelings behind it anyway. MILD frustration at that but it's understandable since the writers are paving a way for Do San - Dal Mi love line.

Totally. I'm sorry to hard-core Do San fans, but the character really disappointed me. Especially after today's episodes. His analogy of a event:wind was just so selfish and irresponsible. It wasn't a "chance" or "event" that just arrived in front of him like a breeze. He made a decision, a CHOICE, but refuses to own up to it until long afterwards. It's great that Do San has character development going on. He cleared himself to his parents, probably after feeling a tremendous amount of guilt. As human, we all make mistakes. But his sob fest was something I didn't have the patience for so I ended up skipping many minutes of his scenes today.

Even if it's a happily-ever-after for Do San and Dal Mi, I don't think Do San appeals to me lol. Well.. as long as Dal Mi's happy with whom she loves, then that's that.

Following typical kdrama story trends, Do San is endgame. This drama classifies some characters as "main characters" when really it's only two main characters. I really like 3GGG's character analysis :)

Not sure about weaker/stronger but I do love dramas aimed to motivate! :D

Itaewon's main character was also super smart (esp with help from FL). Here, Dosan is genius developer (and gets help from FL) too.. I see what you mean LOL

I also thought Do San prevented him too. At the end of one of the previous episodes, he stepped in IMMEDIATELY after seeing Ji Pyung and Dal Mi clearly having a serious conversation. Then the next episode just started off without that "..." momentous pause of pre-interruption xD;

They really are lol. When one of them tries to come clean, the other stops 'em. And vice versa..................................

I don't think it's a fanwar per say! (Apart from the few rude people who are attacking people who are shipping a different male lead)

Team Jipyeong may be more vocal since the story is steering clearly to realize Team Dosan's dreams. All the transpiring events are pushing towards the realization of Dalmi-Dosan love line.

Viewers know this. She clearly started developing stronger (read: new) feelings towards Do San, stronger than her child-crush-first-love Ji Pyung. That's not really up for debate.

Everyone's free to ship whom they choose, for whatever reasons they'd like. Maybe they like the interactions between Dal Mi and ___, or how good they look together, their past or present love story, the development of their relationship, etc. Just like love doesn't always make sense, I don't see what's so wrong with sharing personal preferences and opinions about the love lines in this story.

And to be quite frank, they are both liars. It's not toxic to say so, it's just a fact. We know that a healthy relationship is built on trust and honesty. With the truth surfacing in next week's episodes, we'll see how each of them acknowledge and grow through this life lesson in front of them. Dal Mi may find it in her heart to forgive, and follow her heart to whomever she chooses.

She lied about being the sandbox girl. In Jae overheard Ms. Seon Hak talking about the origination of the sandbox girl, and she wrote it into her application as if that memory was hers. Had she not overheard their conversation, she wouldn't have that memory to write about.

Dal Mi is probably the sandbox girl. Which is why In Jae pushed Dal Mi towards the Moonlight AI project or whatever "for money" - because Seon Hak (From SH Venture Capital) specifically said she thought the sandbox girl would be different.. AKA: Has a vision beyond just for money.
