Kinda crazy theyre taking a month and a half to release an 8 episode drama😭like they could continue airing 2 episodes a week and the drama will be all aired by the end of february but instead after this week we're doing 1 ep a week

It feels like the script writer had a stroke in the middle of the drama or something because things just went so downhill😭the entire thriller and mystery was a mess as well with the choices of who and why I mean I couldve written better then this with a more complex villain and villain story and a better story and pacing for how everything went down

Then theres the entire last episode thats completely useless and actually the worst writing I have seen in a kdrama in a long time. I literally cannot believe how bad that was. At least their chemistry was good but otherwise such a disappointing drama idk why I had such high expectations in the first place. Fans who still say its great are just looking at the romance and past the messy and disappointing sub plots

it was so messy Im so mad cus it had a really promising start😭

excited to binge this when all episodes are out I really need a new drama after the disappointment that was when the phone rings😭

btw I'm both a kpop and kdrama fan (got into kpop through bp in 2020) and all I gotta say for the blinks is the drama world is different from the music world. A dedicated international fanbase alone cant just make a mediocre drama popular the way a mediocre songs mv with a lot of views may pull in others to watch it. It isnt smart to rely on Jisoos popularity alone

ngl over a month of airing for an 8 episode drama is kinda crazy idk if this drama (esp with lack of promotions so far) will be able to keep up momentum They should've just decided to drop all episodes at once like all of us are dead or at least started it out with a few episodes then went on the 1 episode a week pattern

and then even tho this is a zombie drama its going to be pretty romance and comedy focused which might deter the average zombie viewing audience from watching as they are more drawn to horror, thriller and action and at the same time might also deter the average romance and comedy drama watcher if they don't like zombies. All im saying is that this drama seems like it might end up being for a niche set of viewers + blinks so im a bit worried. When I first heard of this drama I thought it might end up being like happiness with a romance plot that wasnt the main focus but now with such a unique set of genres for a zombie drama it seems it will be its own thing entirely. Also I can practically see the comments upset on Jisoos character already🙄theyre going to find her annoying I just know it with a fl chasing after her mans

The rating dropping makes sense imo. I think 8.1 is a good rating for this drama giving it 10 stars soley because you love the two leads chemistry is disappointing. The beginning half of the drama was great but after falling off the mountain I think is when it went downhill.

The thriller plot was messy whether you want to admit it or not it wouldve been done a lot better if they made it more complicated specifically for this drama the thriller wasnt done enough if this was like strong woman do bong soon where theres a light tone and a comedy piece with a small thriller subplot this wouldve been good enough but its not. The beginning set the mood for it being a darker toned drama heavily reliant on the thriller point . For a romance drama I understand rating it high but for a romance drama that relies so heavily on the thriller point it was really a let down so much really fell flat when it couldve easily been so much better had they utilized some characters a bit more. I really loved it in the beginning maybe my expectations were too high bcus of how promising the beginning episodes were. There were also just a lot of plot holes and unfinished arcs tho they are hidden well. To think I had thought this would be one of the best dramas of the year....the writing turned out so messy when it started so strong

I feel Junhee's character either will survive (like he'll help her survive) or they'll take the baby out and the baby will survive but she'll die. I could see them killing her off if she was only in like the 2nd trimester but I feel like no way they really kill her and the baby completely when shes supposedly really close to the due date (based on the hints we've gotten from how far along she is + inho's wife)

Anyways I'm really curious to see if season 3 will end with them ending squid game and more then 1 person surviving or if itll end with someone taking it over. Especially curious on the ending if they are trying to end it in the realm of social commentary like season 1 was I really wonder what the ending would be

I've seen some spoilers online is it true that hes using sfl for money and is emotionally cheating on her with fl or is the edit I saw making into more then it is?

I cannot believe how horrible that last episode was. The writing went down so much they shouldve stuck to a plain episode of her waiting for him to return and him having an emotional return after donating his money, changing his name and finding his biological mother or something. The political propaganda was also absolutely unnecessary and disgusting they shouldve also known that international audiences wouldnt have been in support of it. If you rated this drama anything higher then a 7.5 you're lying to yourself bcus of emotional connection from how well the first 5 episodes were written.

Usually you can tell once you’ve watched a lot of dramas you can just get that vibe based on the type of story it is, the storyline, relationships between the characters, hints of foreshadowing or even reading between the lines in little things like the length of certain camera shots. In case u can’t tell from all that It’s really after you’ve watched so many and when you’re pretty intuned to the drama. But anyways there are some that are unpredictable but I will tell you this one is very predictable and 99% a happy ending. I can’t exactly explain why but I just can tell based on how this dramas story is.

Are people actually uncomfy with the age gap cus altho when the drama first started I saw those comments I havent seen them recently?

imo 30 and 40 is much better then 20 and 30 (ik its weird but i feel like your mind is just at too different of levels of development when ur 30 vs when ur 20). Idk if its just me but I feel like more mature fans are more understand of it while the younger fans are the ones with a problem with it.

I think as u mature u understand its not always the age gap thats the problem but at what age the age gap is happening. We would obviously never have a 15 and 25 year old but a 35 and 45 year old we would.

Yeah and idk I feel like 30 and 40 isnt even that big of a gap to me im more comfortable with 30 and 40 then 20 and 30. Especially when they dont look that far apart either like Yoo Yeonsook could easily pass as 35 imo

I wonder if it will be one of those times in dramas where theres a hint of them liking each other in like the 11th ep and then at the end of the last episode when everythings wrapping up theyre having a get together and then the characters are all like "wait youre dating!?" and the viewers find out from that and never really got a detailed romance or exact confession/moments when they started dating.

Altho thats usually normal for support character romances. But if im being honest these two really dont feel like main characters to me Im also just not feeling much chemistry between them I feel that way in the behind the scenes vids between the actors as well

omg I am so happy shes talking to him it gave me so much hope I was so scared it wouldnt be till the end😭😭the way soobin and yeon seok acted till now all this time without soobins character saying anything to him in scenes together is so crazy to think about. Literally half of the drama she was not speaking in their scenes together

help idk how im gonna survive until January 4th I just want all the episodes out now😭I love the holiday season but this show is making me want it to go quicker

I just looked at the last chapter of the web novel and does she fr not talk to him in person till the very end when they almost drown? I really want a few episodes (like by ep 9 or 10) where she only talks to him but if she doesn't till episode 12 idk how I feel about that😭

I know they said theyve changed stuff from the original web novel and I really just hope that they changed her talking to be earlier cus its gonna kill me for them to not talk for another 5 episodes and only see it at the end of ep 12. Plus I feel like this plot point of her talking to him and him knowing its her over the phone would drag on too long if she didnt stop sooner theres no way theyd wait till then right? I'm like literally setting my hopes on the screenwriters making it earlier on bcus im gonna go crazy if I dont see her talking to him by the preview for ep 10. Cus I mean doing an adaptation of a web novel means they wouldve had to change the pacing and add stuff right? RIGHT???😭😭😭

Can someone explain bcus I cant watch the drama rn but I really want the spoiler. Ik its a dumb question but is this person talking about Ina or Heejoo signing a marriage contract? bcus id assume its heejoo but that last sentence about him being confident its not ina just makes me more confused.

agreed I hate how everyone totally romanticizes the mom in this. I kept waiting for her to redeem herself but she never did she was just praised for treating her son like that i dont care her reasonings or her past how do people support her just because they believe in the 'tough love' stuff

From what I can tell I probably wont like this just bcus of the western influences (I watch kdramas for the opposite reason). I remember seeing the hype and I was already guessing a lot of the more critical people would be disappointed with the overall plot I am sad that it seems from the reviews I was right since I love these actors. I think I've literally watched almost all the dramas the five leads have had support characters in. I've followed a lot of their careers since they're debut at this point (I just happen to watch dramas they end up being) the fact I know each of the leads almost made me want to watch this drama especially with Hyewon and Wonjung whos acting is my favorite of the 5. When the cast first was announced I thought it was so cool that the cast was made up of young actors who mostly do support characters and aren't all well known. I'm sure this was such a huge deal for them all to get lead roles in a netflix drama like this I'm so happy for them. I'm really glad some people are enjoying this drama more then others and I really hope these actors are all able to gain more experience and grow as actors from this. Also that they get more popularity and recognition and get more roles from this
