I dont usually post comments here.. but seeing the amount of hate around this upcoming series, i guess i have to. I have watched the trailer many times and tried to understand every detail. there are a few things you people need to consider before spreading this hate.
1. This is not the official trailer, it is just a pilot trailer (a very primary kind of trailer uploaded in order to get sponsors for the upcoming series), and we all know how much the final series gets improvised compared to the pilot trailers. This is just to give an idea of the theme of the series.
2. To the people saying that, instead of Namtaan, they should have had a trans actress here. Well, this is not ur love love for transgenders, this is just ur hate and jealousy towards our talented acrtess, Namtan Tipnaree. Tell me, how many of u asked for an actually visually impaired actress for the character May (in the series- Pluto) ? Do actors really need to actually BE what they ACT as? Did Film Rachanun actually have to be blind to act as May? Do BL/GL characters have to be actual LGBTQIA+ members to act in them? No? Then why is this demand here? They are actors, why does she have to be an actual trans woman to act as Apo when May's character in Pluto did not need an actual visually impaired actress?
3. To the people calling it transphobic, and asking it to get cancelled, well I'm sorry to say this to you, but I guess the people saying these are transphobic themselves and cannot stand a GMMTV series showing a character's gender transitioning. Why does a trans woman's whole story need to be about the whole transgender society? Why cant she just have a normal life? Or have revenge?
4. The whole transitioning thing might or might not be about revenge and i Do not think that is the main thing here. bcz why so? isnt this called human rights? if Apo (by Junior) wanted to transition (whether it is for revenge or not), isnt it their own choice?
I'd like to conclude, if u dont like the series, just dont watch it. if you hate these talented actors and actresses, stay away from their series, but stop spreading hate against their hardwork. and finally, this trailer or this upcoming series isnt transphobic, it's you and your thoughts that are.
