mann I'm on episode 10 and getting so annoyed with how bossy and clingy is the ML and the FL just freaking listened to him lol
They both have some good qualities and really good chemistry but ML is too overprotective, he followed the FL around like gum sticking to shoes, even tho he's good looking but damn I will get so mad if I were the FL, he meddled with her business all her life.

ikr pity the actor/actresses, they're always wrong and being labelled as bad whenever their characters didn't feel right to viewers. The director won't let them passed the scenes if they didn't stay in their characters anyway. FL are always labelled as exaggerating or acting cute when the characters required them to be hyper but when the acted cold for the characters, they will be labelled as expressionless= bad acting. I saw it more often for FL instead of ML

well as cringey as when actors in kdrama speaking in mandarin/english or japanese...it's normal

it's probably the direction of the director as well imo because if you noticed, she's okay when she did scenes for crying/angry but neutral scenes she needs to improve on that. Tong Yao in the novel is the kind of expressionless girl as well, she's new & young, perhaps it's the direction that should play important role.

ikr always the double standard. I love Xu Kai but he has acting criticism for his character on Ancient Love Poetry as well, about his lack of expressions as well but I found his fans here always attacking Cheng Xiao haha no offense to both

That Smiling ID is FL tribute for her e-sport idol, she wanted to bring back his name to world championship, not related to her character as Tong Yao as well. The original novel tittle is 'You're Pretty When You Smile' which makes more sense but of course they changed it for the drama. If you want an exaggerated FL maybe this drama is not for you.

I fee so bad for Cheng Xiao, she gets the most hate from e-sport fans. Just because she always promoted the drama on her weibo more than the others etc, or is it because she's a woman, an easy target? Those mf toxic e-sport fans are just like what they potrayed in the drama, even worse! She worked hard for the drama, even with promotion but this is what she gets. She's taking the heat from toxic e-sport fans and some people here also trashing her acting. I have said this many times, Tong Yao in the novel is the kind of girl with expressionless face as well, she's not the cheeful kind of girl who's always smiling like you guys wanted, overreacting like many cdramas FL did...I agree that she needs improvement, but I think her crying/angry/emotional acting, she did quite well for a new actress. Her sweet scenes with Xu Kai were natural or else where do you think that chemistry comes from? Tone done with the hate will you?

haha I think you're the first one who pointed out about the ML being expressionless, the others only pointed out the FL. Because some people found it cool when ML being expressionless or tsundere but when FL did that, they called it bad acting😆

my only problem with the gaming scenes were when they didn't put ID of who's who when they switched to shikigami battle scenes except when they showed the players' faces few times to show who's playing, they should have put the ID when they switched to shikigamis imo. Other than that, I understand the game quite well, about the ban & pick phase etc even tho I didn't play moba.

TY cried because LSC had been ignoring her for 2days, she thought he's mad at her and she thought they're on the verge of breaking up. LSC heard her crying in the bathroom so he went to her room. When she asked him, he denied the break up thought and he said that's not going to happen, he's just mad at himself for failing to protect her. He's been away most of the time because he's trying to catch the girl who hurt TY...and they slept together?😉

Such an exaggerated statement. You watched till ep22 yet you didn't see her drunk, crying or fight scene when she got angry. Those were not 'one epxression' lol
I agree that she needs improvement but I also want you to know that Tong Yao in the novel is the kind of girl with blank expressions as well. In a way, FL did stay true to the novel but yes, she can improve more with her acting.

Do you mean on ep28 where everyone is crying hard especially Lao Mao? haha They have some dispute about LSC not telling them anything about his questionable decision during the game and he took care of problems on his own without telling his team, Lao Mao questioned him like LSC always did to them whenever they did any mistake during the game and he felt like LSC didn't trust them enough to share his problems even when his hand is hurting. Tong Yao felt guilty because LSC was also distracted because he wanted to solve her problem with the girl who hurt her hand, so she cried too. But don't worry they solved the issue on the same episode and LSC apologized to his team for the first time. It will make their team stronger.

ikr TLB is so good, I still can't get over Wu Lei and Dilireba chemistry. PAC is one of the best romance cdramas I had ever watched
